If you go to vortech's web site the state that the V-5 G Trim Blower (that is standard in all our kits) is capable of producing up to 25psi

RIPP, did you see my last ??'s on the kit? Also is your piggy back is basically an independant ecu really. Capable of receiving engine info and adjusting as needed... only difference is that it adjusts by modifying stock ecu's parameters right? I don't think i've ever seen anything that great except a full stand alone. Do you sell the software for it so that people can do independant tuning or is that not even necessary? Sorry to hit you up with so many ??'s but these haven't been answered and they are super relevent to people.

In all it trully seems like your system is an install and forget about it system... meaning it takes care of itself mostly.

Ripp... I don't know if it'd be possible to buy that Gray Box from you guys seperately as that is a mad piece of hardware. Very few if any pieces of hardware out on the market can generate their own closed loop systems to hold the AFR where they want. That piece of hardware in and of itself would be a wortwhile purchase for anyone. Add some form of software for adjusting it and you have something to nudge in along side of if not beat on items like the AEM and even the Microtech that I run.

Only thing that freaked me out a bit in your post is that you said you guys are running near stock air fuel ratios. Which to me corresponds to being the 14-15 AFR range.... which also corresponds to me as awfully hot. I'm amazed if you guys are holding those AFR's and not getting detonation... But i'd also assume you can get more power out if you richened the mixtures up more. So that's very interesting to me and raises even more questions...

Great stuff though!

I was under the impression that you couldn't make this CARB legal because there's no CARB legal way to replace the stock headers with anything but OEM replacements, or do you have plans to make a CARB legal header? Is that possible?

Man, with this kit price and a CARB sticker, this would be awesome... now if only I could get out of debt

He's running that when not in boost. Boosting is a different field and the ecu is forced rich then. As a rule though, tuning to 14.7:1 throughout the rpm range while not in boost is considered factory spec. Most cars stay right there until 80%+ throttle when they switch to open loop mapping where adjustablility of signals is easily done. Drivability is truly the hardest to tune in my opinion.

i was assuming that was the case... but at the same time it wasn't really all the clear. I'm going to assume the bypass valve is used a lot of the time... because otherwise cruising along on the highway at 3,000 rpms you'll be making 3 or better psi and obviously that would need to be a bit richer...

I'm in the process of trying to tune my MP3 for city driving and cruising and so forth... so no need to tell me about how tuning driveability is a *****!! LOL... I hate that every time you drive you end up under different water and intake temps as well which make life difficult for getting dialed in too!

I saw the first post that said 222whp, what is it now that you're running a higher psi? Still stock internals with new injectors?

I'm sorry I'm asking, but I don't have the patiene to read through 10 pages of it, sorry.

way to go ripp! thanks for the answers. I can tell you that CARB is a pain so everyone lay off him about the CARB questions, they just take time.

If you need some info and what not feel free to IM me as I have done some CARB work in the past and currently am.

Hey ripp, on a difficulty scale from 1 to 10 how hard will it be to install the kit? Do you guys have ditributers in Southern Cali who can install it? Cuz i was udner the impression that if it wasn't installed by ripp or a distributor of ripp, it doesn't have a warranty. Is that true?
