deff get this thing to a dyno. and even if you don't need it a stand alone computer is always a good idea. i don't think the ic is that bad either, i have a body kit and i don't think you could even see the pipes with my kit so no worries there. this sounds like a good starter kit. i think i might get the non ic kit and then make my own custom piping for the ic etc. The point boe was making is that the turbo spools the same but can support more hp later. not that it makes more than the other. its all about a buildup. a t28 can handle more boost than a t25, its science.

i more than agree about more boost from a larger turbo believe me as soon as i can handle more than 12 psi its bigger turbo time and road race will be my 1st call.As far as piping goes remember i fabed what you guys see because the car wouldnt run right with their polished piping configuration. Due to the blowoff valve mounted before the maf , but it runs fine with it changed around as waggi 32 found out. To deal with the? about the short down pipe, i spent 4$ on 2 gaskets to close the gap ,no problems. The only way it runs the way it should is if u fab the piping so the maf is where it would be for a cold air intake i used pieces of my injen intake and piping from the tsi kit to connect everything.

Ryan...thanks for those tips. I will def keep those in mind once I get the kit in October. Sounds good. So what psi are you running as a daily drive...and what are you turning the boost up to during hard runs

Hey Ryan..I looked at your pics again.....it looks like you're running the i/c pipe into the maf sensor......the pic on turbo kits.com has the maf sensor being hooked up to the turbin intake pipe. Have you tried both setups?

Ryan... thanks man. Remember keep it safe and if your playing around with boost invest in a wideband and egt. They assist you greatly in seeing what is needed and where. Also get a catch can on there as around 11psi is when you'll find the blowby overpressurizes the block blowing out the dipstick. If that happens on an overboost spike you could blow oil all over your engine bay!!

got the egt installed already along with the air fuel meter, she runs pretty cold. but ya definetlly a catch can cause i zipp tied the dipstick down for now. Fevo 7 the reason i run the kit the way i do now is because the way they tell u to, does not work right it stumbles and bumbles at idle. And i run 7 daily like last night when i was out with waggi 32 , but when i want to get nasty , i turn the dial up to 9psi no problems and almost pegged rich.

Doesn't look bad but it reminds of the old saying, "You get what payed for!" That is a pretty cool Honda kit! I dare you to put a turbokits.com sticker on your windshield!

What AFR meter are you using... hope it's not some crappy autometer or the like. They are totally unreliable and do nothing for tuning. They are a quick way to blow the motor.

That sucks that you had to do so much work to get this thing working right... working at least don't know if it's quite right but seems to work fine. If i were you i'd take it to a dyno and get a couple pulls on it with AFR readouts. Let us know the hp/tq and the AFR.

How long did it take you to figure the setup out and were there any extra costs you incured due to it or was it just a lot of labor involved?? Has turbokits.com helped you out in any way since the kit trully wasn't a bolt on like they say it is??

Also were there any "tricks" you had to use to get things working good or did you just have to do a lot of custom piping? Good thing you had all the pieces laying around and figured out some stuff. Did you have help?

One last thing... did you go with there 2 injector TSI controller setup or are you using the safc 4 injector setup? Just wondering if this is done by additional injector or if you had to replace your stock injectors. Can you get some better pics of the additional injector setup along with the water cooling. I'd like to see how they tapped the fuel and coolant systems. Thanks.

Exhaust Gas Temperature. Imperative gauge to have when running boost. Melting things is bad, very very bad.
