Recall thing won't affect piggy. If you have it installed remove it and cover your tracks. Fix recall and then reinstall in. Adam I got ECU today. I am hooking it up to my car for a day or 2 to make sure it is all good. We couldn't find anything wrong with it. Let you know in a day or so.

drucea... is your car running fine now??
Maybe you had a "cold solder..." that's basically when the solder appears bonded but in fact it's only done on the surface and one wire is not really making contact. Kinda hard to explain but it happens more often then you think when people rush their solders.
If the box works out fine on RRM's car and they send it back to you... try just connecting it with the connectors first. Sometimes... i'm not recommending it for long... but sometimes i just strip the wires... twist them together... and go for a drive. This lets me know that all is working fine. Then i solder the connections when i've determined that the car is reacting fine to my install. If i solder and there's a problem then i know i've got a cold solder somewhere. Just some helpful advice if RRM doesn't find anything out.

nope cause after i took it off the first time, i cut the solder part out, then before mailing it back, I put it back in just to make sure of that. so i did you you said, i just twisted the wires back together and electrical taped em. did the exact same thing. but now my car is running normal again. so connections were fine and everything, don't know what it could be.

Yep. Running fine. Prolly remove it Friday. No CEL, No misfires. It runs good and fast. Occasional drop in idle with light on and air on but raise idle a little and it seems fine. One more day.
