If it does the same thing, it has got to be something with the way you installed it.

I will ship it back when I remove it. At least I am sure there is noting wrong with the box.

when you said next week, did you mean "today" next week, or next next week, like on the 1st or 2nd (whenever next monday is)? Not being pushy or anything, just checking so i know.

Hey Rob, why the switch from the box with the vac line to the one without? I would think the bax with the vac line could respond the changes better than the one without? Just curious why you switched.

vacuum box is not as fast as electronic... only reason for that box was so that it could see boost pressures. That box will still be used on stage 2 applications but for NA it was proving less responsive.

Good point. So if the box is not using the vac signal, which signal is it using to interpret airflow? The signal from the MAS, O2?

If you want to see how crappy Mazdas software is from the factory check out the dyno runs in my sig. The shop finally got the dyno run files to us.

It reads the MAS signal directly and manipulates that much like an AFC would... only difference is that there is more finite adjustements with the piggy than any AFC/SAFC.

Looking at that dyno you definately need and AFC/SAFC or some sort of piggy back to cut that fuel out in the mid range/boost onslaught area. It's off the charts rich... way to much.

Yeah, I exported the data and there are sections of sample data that are stuck at 10:1 A/F. If the curve was followed it would probably read as low as ~8.5:1 or something. My AFC is on the way, it should be here early next week. Dynos will probably take place mid-October, unless there is another dyno day.

Back on topic, are there any dyno runs on NA Lancers with the new piggy?
