on mitsulogger it says m low is 7 and my mid is -7 and high is of corse near 0.
on the new version of evoscan im at 128 low, 75 midd, and 100 high.
whats your thoughts?
I would love to drive somewhere and... but thats the prob...lol somehow my ecu got sapped it was $1200 for a new one and I planned on gettein e-manage or sum'en for another $5-600=$1800, so I figured why not go stand alone plus I'm in Canada so we dont have evo's here (boohoo) so its not like I can just say F*ck this and get the real deal(EVO) so why not make it as good as possible. Plus all the cosmetic stuff that was already done to my car I cant just go buy a car with full custom fiber glass interior..lol But I was reading the EMS does come with a wizard to set up a base map for any car it claims and plus they are vehical specific. I'm a pretty quick learner about a year ago I was assssking my friend what a heeder was..lol But I looked into a tunner who deal with aem ems so I'll give it a try aand if it seems like its beyond me I'll let them do it. Thanks for the advice. After you take that course or while, let me know if you have any insight. cool thanks

Just wanted to stop in and say hey. Great to see that Lancer tuning is still alive and well. I'm about to put my turbo back in along with some new upgrades. I'm hoping to bump my boost to 10-11 PSI (still have stock internals) so I'm anticipating a big night of tuning/logging in the near future.

you should upgrade your internals and really push the boost. with the turbo setup you have, you could get some serious power going

I never felt the need to mess with the latency tables on the my ROM. You can find some info on tuning the scaling and latency if you look here:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=207924

I watch my AFRs like a hawk and constantly log my car. I have had zero problems with the fuel needs of my setup at 11-12psi. If your AFRs are good at idle, cruise and full throttle I wouldn't be too concerned with the latency. We drive low HP Lancers. The Evo guys tend to forget that at times.

We don't always forget ...

I think the big issue with tuning scaling on the Lancer is that the trims don't seem to reset after a flash, so you won't be starting at 0 as you would on an Evo. They seem to follow the same 4 min update pattern though.

so fuel trims dont matter as much on the base lancers?

because im in the process of getting a good engine together and will most like be pushing the limits. i have no 1800 for the ems but im starting to think i should get it. say if i was pushing 15-18 psi on the lancer. do you think i could run the stock ecu or would i have to ungrade? and if i dont (i plan on getting bigger injectors from a wrx) would it hurt anything?

I'm simply saying that they don't matter as much for the Lancers only pushing approx 200hp. Idle and WOT are easy to tune for on our cars. Its the cruising and partial throttle that takes some finesse to get right.

I owned an AEM EMS 2 summers ago and had it on my car for the summer. It was an absolutely amazing software to work with. I was unable to really pull any HP from my Lancer because bolt-ons don't add much power and decided to sell it. I regret having sold it now that I have my turbo installed. If you are gonna push your Lancer to over 300hp I strongly suggest considering it as an option. As I recall, there is someone selling theirs now in the for sale section. You have to consider that since our ECUs were not meant to see boost it is hard to compensate for it. A little can be dealt with but I don't see a great amount of flexibility when you being pushing 15psi or more.
