Let me point out that adjusting latencys will have no effect on open loop so it wont effect your afr tuning.

okay i see, so if my fuel trims are in the negatives do i increase the latencies?

I dont know why it would do this either. maybe the ecu is different somehow>? even though i was able to flash the rom onto it.

Ok if the trims are negative this means the ecu is cutting that percentage of fuel trying to reach stoich. With latencies the higher the number the more fuel you will be giving and vice versa so you will want to lower that number so you will be giving less fuel.

Are your idle trims negative or are your cruise trims negative? Or both?

llooks like both, maybe my header is whats causing this. Also does reflashing the ecu make it relearn? or do i still need to disconnect the negative terminal for a while. today i disconnected it to fix some wiring issues with my headlights and right now it feels like my car is running GREAT. but maybe its the placebo effect

Depends.

On the evo 8 for example flashing the ecu with the same rom but modified doesn't reset fuel trims, on the evo 9 it would. If you flashed a different rom id then fuel trims reset regardless.

It does not sound as if you have installed ecuflash on the computer.

The roms themselves should not be double clicked from the desktop it does not associate roms like other programs, ie winamp. Open ecuflash and use the open file dialog to open a file from the program itself.

If you are still getting these issues print a screen shot and show us whats going on.

RS, I raised the value to 140 and still no go.
It cut timing, but not fuel.

Then I raised both values with the same results.

I hit the stock limiter on both WOT and slowly approaching the rev limit

4g94t

Add this to your XML

<table name="Timing Override" address="1914a" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

The default should be 0x2ab1

Override this with 0x9

I found this is one of the few places where i can see a set value overriding the timing in ram so lets give this a shot
