I installed new Headers

So i put brand new headers on my car and after putting them in they sound great, but... when i rev the engine or press the gas to roughly 3500 rpm it starts making a buzz sound. It sounded like it was comin from gasket or something so i bought brand new exhaust manifold gasket. Switched them out and it helped a little bit but the sound is stil there. One of my buddies told me it could be the air rumbling around. If that is true how do i fix it or if its not the problem what would be the problem?

Make sure all of the bolts are tight, including the ones on the DP and Cat. Also make sure your hangers for your exhaust are all still ok, when I put my Header and downpipe on it actually pushed my whole catback back about a quarter inch for whatever reason. If that doesn't help I don't really know why its making that noise.

After I installed my exhaust system (full system) my car does they same thing.
Alot of people on here have asked about it and no one really has a answer.

Simply put though, it's nothing to worrie about at all.
Just forget it, not gonna hurt anything.

My car does it right at shift points, from 1 to 2 at 2400 rpm, 2 to 3 at 3000 rpm.
it stops if you rev past the shift point and it doesn't do it in 4 or 5 gear.

Maybe it'll go away when I tune, not sure.

Did you change the gasket between your header and downpipe as well? I have little experience in the matter but I think you're right. Sounds to me theres a small exhaust leak. You can put some soap suds over the connection and see if any airs escaping.... may not find anything but its better than just giving up

Does it make the rattle sound all the time or just when you give it half to full gas?

Yea, many people with the Kamikaze headers have reported that annoying sound.

At the 3k RPM mark it starts to make a raspy thin gasket fluttering sound.

I am determined to track down the reasoning for this... Its one of those things you deal with. Its not as bad if you manage it when accelerating but it takes the life sound out of my exhaust system.

What type of Headers do you have, 4-2-1?

yea okay, I knew I wasnt the only one experiencing this, but I had figured that was because I was catless...But yea it usually makes that sound around 3000rpm/shift point for me so you should be fine, I've had mine 4 a year and still no prob.
