Ok cool, i dont know why i cant get this stupid 9417 rom to open in ecuflash, its telling me its not defined, but i put the xml in the evo folder.. Grrr its telling me its inherits from 9653 but the rom is a 9417 rom so i guess its ok?

 

You sure you didn't get a SD variant? They have different rom ID's than the standard 9417. If you xml i'd just download it from the tephra v7 and get the rom plus xml in one shot.

Nope, still have no idea wtf is going on, i put the xml in the "evo" xml folder in ecu flash and tried to open up the SD 9417 rom image and its telling me "unknown rom image" asking me to define inherit or whatever. Do i need a read templet or something? Everythings in the right spot

 

You're not on a windows 7 machine are you?

hmmm and you closed ecuflash when you added the xml files?

I can't think why it wouldn't work.

When i extract that ROM for some reason it doesnt come up as a .hex its a VLC media file .bin

 

You can name the file to whatever extension you please in ecuflash i could name it to .rom if i wanted but everyone uses .bin and .hex

 

Oh ok, that just confused me that is said that. Im not sure why its asking me to define the rom image. im going to tripple check i put everything in the right spots

 

Catch me on aim if this continues it will be faster than posting.
