I unbolted the clutch cover bolts from the flywheel through the gap between the engine and the clutch bell housing... the clutch then dropped and I could remove the engine.

 

I ended up dropping the trans out the bottom and the engine out the top..... now to figure out how to put it back in......i did this all on my back in the cold.....fun times

 

Im putting the both together and dropping them in as one this time. A lot easier.

 

yeah but you have to go through the bottom....the trans bracket won't allow it to come out the top....so i gotta find out how im gonna lift my car high enough to get the motor and trans under it and how im gonna drop it slowly to not destroy it.

 

I managed it with the 2.4 quite hard tho I admit.
