Lancer Sputtering

my 1.6 L 02 Lancer es sputters while acceleration and while driving. It cant make it up hills past 15 mph and the sputtering sound gets louder as I hit full throttle. I changed my spark plugs and the Lancer drove normally for a little over a week, but it started messing up again.

New NGK Spark Plugs
New Spark Plug Wires
Really Old Air Filter on Short Ram
No Oil Change since around 8 Months (oil is full)
140k Miles

Based on this info does anyone know what could be causing this?

how are the coils?
are you getting fire in all cylinders?
is the check engine light ON?
has it come ON at any time?
are your plugs wired in the proper order?
any mods done to your car?
has the MAF been damaged?
is the battery holding it's charge? (bad battery can cause weird problems, I learned that the hard way this winter.)

No oil change for 8 months? I don't care how full your oilpan is... 8months???? I can barely stand going 7 weeks.

you should change your oil a bit more often than that. i bet your oil is nice and gross by now.

could be an issue with one of the cats, too... does either smell funny or glow?

change the air filter and oil. more than likely its the filter but you should definately change your oil. start small and if it doesnt fix it work your way up.

Check engine light hasnt been on since I bought the car. Plugs are in properly. New Battery.

The bad thing about my Lancer... it sputters constantly.

My grandpa said it could be the ignition coil... does that have to do with the cylinders receiving fire?

im having the same problem. except for my CEL is on and getting a code for random misfire and burning rich so my guess it must be the coil packs as well
