You do not lose your settings on the nav. I have the nav and it was no problem.

Theres so much trash talking in this thread, that its hard to find the useful info. I have a quick question, probably relating to page 1. Where this air intake is directed (to the back of the engine, above the exhaust manifold) its bound to suck in alot of warm air. And it doesnt really look like there is any other route to go with it. But is it possible to pull out the stock air box, relocate the battery tray there, and run a CAI toward the drivers side fender? Maybe even into the drivers side fender wall?

hey guys. i have a ??? i bought a cheep pepboys MAF housing the other day and insytalled it into my car. the unit fit perfect and the MAF sensor bolted right in and i clamped the filter right on and attached the other end (flexible rubber hose) although the housing was a little big and was hard sliping it on, i finally managed to get it... well i disconted my battery and reconnected it at the ebd of the instal and then started the car up, well when it started, it started to surge and bog now i check over everything and let it run for 10 minutes and it would clear up but then it would start to run like carp again, now looking at the RRM set up, it looks just like the pepboys unit but minus the mount bracket. then i hooked my stock intake back up and now it runs fine bla bla bla... so anyways... what do you think is wrong and is the RRM intake working perfect for everyone? i think im going to order one soon but i just dont want the same thing to happen again because it's like my car dosn't like it or somthing...

I am afraid it is not going to work. Prolly should start another thread about your problem. There are no problems with our intake. It takes a bit more than just putting legos together to make a proper intake plus this ECU is very testy and short cut won't do.

OUrs does not have any problems. Many posts up here say they love it and no problems. Don't believe me, believe them. Like i said before. There is more to it than Legos. Plus we tested it on MITSU's Gymkhana car and before we were happy, we made 3 or 4 variations of it. It was not a slam dunk for us either.

Quick question pertaining to the intake: is anyone else's sound a little truck-ish? I could just not be used to the sound, but the deep rumble sounds less like a car and more like a diesel Jetta, or something. I followed the guide posted here, so I don't think that I installed it wrong.

You're just hearing the air get sucked in. It's 100% normal.
