It's pretty normal. Not sure why. Lazy factory tuners, probably.

Hey Blacksheep, we had 3 Lancers here in So Cal dyno today.

http://www.lancertuners.com/modules....c&t=2507#28498

I dont want to type everything out again, but here are the basics:

LancerGTS 5 speed: RRM pully/piggy and Injen CAI and Injen Exhaust: 126.3 hp
LancerGTS 5 speed: Injen CAI and Greddy Exhaust: 122.1hp
LancerGTS CVT: RRM pully/piggy and Injen CAI and custom shop exhaust: 100.5hp

I cant say about anyone else, but tomorrow evening I will take pictures of my sheet and I will post em here for you. Dyno information is on the link above.

I'm starting to think the CVTs don't dyno well.

Also, it depends on how they dynoed it.
- Was it a DE/ES, or the GTS with Sportronic?
- If it was a DE/ES, what throttle did they have it at? The CVT could have made the numbers react wrong.
- If it was a GTS an in "manual" mode, what gear? 3rd or 6th?

Etc.

It was not a typo. Also I put LancerGTS CVT. They did the pulls with the paddle shifters and yes they werent doing a very good job. Watching the graph as they did the pulls you would see these constant dips in the middle of the graph. I dont have pictures of his graph, but if you want to ask Conduct over on Lancer Tuners, it was his car.

Here is a video of us all dynoing:

Give me a bit and I will have pictures of my sheets

Also Blacksheep I noticed you didnt add some of the info from the thread on LT. Which is understandable because I wrote it like a freakin moron over there to annoy people

Here is the info:

All California PZEV engines.

Dyno-Dynamics was the type of dyno we used. We were told to multiple our run HP by ~20% to compare to a dyno-jet type dyno. Here is a thread about comparing the dynos. I am not going to post madeup multiplied times though

Oops. Yeah, it helps if I stop to THINK before I post.

I'm not a member of LancerTuners. If you want to get his info, I'll post it. Otherwise, they stay in the "need more info" section. *shrug*

Say it with me now.

"Dyno numbers don't actually mean anything."

Repeat it five times.

Yeah, we all want a big high number. But in the end, it's meaningless. If you think the mod makes the car faster and more enjoyable to drive, good! If not, then bad. But don't worry about the number.

Mitsubishi says you get 152 HP at the CRANKSHAFT!
The dynos people are talking about here are measuring at the wheels. The numbers will obviously be less than 152.

One reason I believe Mitsu's number of 152 is that I owned a 1986 Porsche 944 for ten years. It was rated at 150 HP, and my '08 Lancer ES can get to 60 as fast as my 944 ever did. Furthermore, my Lancer probably weighs a solid 200 lbs more than my 944.

Now, my car has a 5-speed.

Sorry for the wait. Here is the pic of my run:

http://www.spatialstage.com/dyno.JPG

I dont want to link it directly because its extremely large

3000+ pixels x 2000+ pixels and I dont know how to resize images on this forum. If I could use the <img src= tag I could resize it myself

More over to the points that Blacksheep brought up.
What gear did you use for the CVT?, the gear ratio between the 5speed and the CVT is different if u attempt to use the same gear.
Although the ratio numbers dont match up exactly, 4th gear on the 5speed and 3rd gear on the CVT are best for just basic dynos. But if you wanted a head to head dyno, a 5th gear 5speed and a 4th gear CVT would yield a more even playing field dyno between the two, ignoring the underperformance of the ratio.
lol ok i am done talking, starting to confuse myself :S lol
All these issues will be cleared up at the dyno day next month or so.

5 speed gear ratios
1 3.538
2 1.913
3 1.333
4 1.028
5 0.820
Final Drive
4.235

CVT Sportronic Ratios
1 2.349
2 1.397
3 1.074
4 0.832
5 0.631
6 0.518
Final Drive
6.120

so these dyno's are basicly saying that both piggy and pully only free'd up the car 4 more whp? that is way way way not worth the money. I lost hp with my pully for my other car we probaly loose hp as well with this car. Just cause it feels faster doesn't mean it is going faster. I learned that 1 in a nasty way.
