Royal Purple was mentioned 13 times in your original post (yes i counted)

so to say this wasn't supposed to be about Royal Purple is kinda silly. The entire basis of this thread is, in a nutshell "Motor oil sucks and is not really proper synthetic. Only Royal Purple make proper synthetic oil,. i <3 Royal Purple"

I am going to the school. You get out of it what you want... this OT thread... he is the one that was sleeping during class, that is why it is a joke to them. Harvard is not better, they dont teach automotive.
I didn't realize Ferrari's weren't automobiles? And if UTI is so exclusive and the grads so wildly knowledgeable and skilled, why then would they not be interested in or pursued by F1 teams? That's like getting a degree in neurosurgery and working full time as a GP, according to yourself, isn't it?

You scored 100% in high school, you won an apparently extremely competitive competition and, along with it, $110, 000 in tuition money. And rather than continuing to pursue excellence, you chose to go to school to work on Volvos? Fords?

UTI wouldn't take your $110, 000? They wanted your money because they like money, and companies like Royal purple pay them to promote their product, much like universities and colleges use certain textbooks because they get a cut from publishers, etc.
You are right that this is so far off topic it's basically useless. I wouldn't be surprised if/when this gets moved to OT also. it's got about as much information as a typical OT thread.

I never thought of moving this to OT but now that you mention it, it might be a good place for it.

Ok I missed this thread. I think it's moved way off topic and is just bickering now. So topic closed.

And to top it off, UTI may be an automotive school, but they deffinately miss a few things, or people don't listen. I have met a few people who graduated from there, work as mechanics at small dealerships, and know absolutely nothing about cars. It's very frustrating trying to argue with someone who graduated from there thinking they know everything and trying to convince me that the egr valve on his gti was a blowoff valve. No offense to anyone from there, it's a good school and I actually want to attend just for my knowledge, but it doesn't make people experts really, and doesn't guarantee you the best info.
