just drop that bish in the lancer.. all i knows is.. at 24psi.. i dont have 'traction' issues.. if anything im making to much traction. just grab some mickey thompson DR tires for the street if u wanna get into some trouble im running 235/60/15s.. but they in no way clear (but i made em fit) u can get the 205/50 or 225/50/15s should work just fine, and plenty more traction then any honda out there. u do have to remember we dont have the same type of suspension setup.. we dont have near the suspension travel or rotation issues that hondas have. i dont get wheel hop at all. 7k launches with my 26'' DRs are NASTY fast on street or strip. plenty of mirages running fwd evo setups on stock motor n turbo deep into the 11s with just a small set of slicks.
on the small turbo.. maken 350+ u wil be a spin king below 50mph. DRs make a WORLD of difference.. bigger turbo guys with sticky tires dont seem to have as many issues on the street.
When this Motor goes, ill be swapping to a built 2.4 evo setup. and aiming for 750-800hp with a huge gt47r turbo for looks..

He doesn't seem (and I could be wrong) to have intentions of making his lancer full blown street, and if that's the case he doesn't need to do a swap like this to then have expensive maintenance with tires. There is just no point to it. I'm sure I'll probably be compared to Amby for saying it, but it's just not worth it. He has other ideas too on what he wants to swap it to that could prove just that much more effective.

No, never run it at the track , brought it out there a couple nights , but just didnt see any mitsubishi's running down the lane , so I kept it on the side lines as well... but I have put a lot of miles on it since the swap , it is totally streetable in 4g64 form , since the swap has been done I got tied up in project, after project, after project, so many to list... I will be going again end of this month and just may run it , because I got a new daily driver in the works, and wont have to worry about beating on the lancer.

If anything its more streetable, the 4g63 is pretty damn reliable and can take a good beating, so having it at stock evo power levels with a lancer body should be nothing but fun, itll put you at about 250 whp being that the evo is around 220-230 stock, plus drivetrain loss, sounds like the PERFECT amount of power for such a platform with a GREAT amount of reliability.

Just wanted to get an update on this swap and had a few questions
-If I do this, I need a 4G64 motor from an eclipse or a galant right? Im going to get it built to handle the power I want
-Then I buy a 4G63 head to bolt on the top
-Now since Im doing that Im going to get a evo 8 intake manifold do I need any special wiring for that? Im assuming no because the stock lancer can run the evo 8 rom with no issues, except for the codes being thrown due to the boost solenoid.
-What does the custom motor mounts look like?
Is there any way I can just buy a transmission without taking it apart?

I plan on doing the swap to my 02 lancer I was thinking going with an evo head but I'm not sure. If my car is automatic can I leave it automatic or do I have to switch it to manual .
