thanks, i never said it can beat an evo on the turns and througout the city, i said, can be just as fast, if not faster than an evo. Not, can be just as fast and handle as good as an evo. Where i live, thats all we have, 1/4 mile, and the occasional street race. so if i can take an evo on the 1/4 mile, i would be very happy. i would also rather have a lancer that i built on my own, than an evo that is stock, with no money for mods. Ill start my build thread next weekend, as soon as i start pulling the motor.

Either way, i wish you luck with your build as well. Just remember that your axles are weak and you're going to have to get custom ones which aren't cheap.

hmm i did some more reading and seems like the g63 head isnt very beneficial until after you are boosted. One of the guys that did a write up on it only gained about 12whp and same the same track times running it NA. He also spent about 3k for the head swap parts including tuning. From what ive read, the best NA combo is, g64 block, optima head with the internals swapped out with evo parts. For boost, 64 block and evo head is best?

this may or may not be of help but i know in the 2g eclipse/5g galant, you have to block off 5 holes in the block that are exposed due to the difference in head size and shape. i just used freeze plugs and then the head just bolted on. mitsu may have redesigned the head/blocks for the rotated 3g version but i doubt it. as for which head to use, it is really up to you and your goals. both heads will work while the dohc will give you more top end power the sohc will keep the torque down lower. if you are going high HP you will want to go with the dohc because it flows better.

I ran across a thread tonight on club3g this guy malachi with a 4g64 block with evo head post this "I ran this combo engine + no traction, i either went 13.3 @ 108mph or 13.7 at 111 mph depending on tire." that is turboed 16g setup running 15 psi on stock internals...

its running, ive been driving her around for about 4 weeks, but it seems that Darkmitsus ROM isnt working well for me. Im running pretty rich but i already got an intake and RPW header, and next is an exhaust and im off to JMS racing for a tune. I think once i get it tuned ill have alot more response from it.

Its kind of weird how the exact same settings work fine for one car , but the exact same flash wont work on another...
We are both running the 94170015 with the exact same settings...
The cel you see on my pull is from me running my car with no thermostat , I get a cel for insufficient coolant theshold , I run it that way because Those ebay fans arent worth anything for cooling , I need some new higher flowing fans ...
