Sheesh, I have a set of Evo X cams with about 3000 miles on them sitting quietly in the basement. I presumed I would never have use for them again and they would be art or a door stop. If anybody wants them to try an install just PM me and we can discuss.

You wouldn't install Evo X cams in a Lancer or you wouldn't accept a set of cams for free/loan to try and make work?

I see, makes sense and I agree, not for the faint of heart. Though the warranty thing is hard, especially with the Mitsu, as they are not particularly amenable to aftermarket. I had a Volvo S60R and the dealer loved the aftermarket work, just managed around it.

The offer stands though, I have an extra set of Evo X cams. They have 3500 original miles and are, obviously, perfect. If you want to try them out I'm happy to support the project.

Love this site lol

This was a great read. Obv i have an 08 gts. Atm no mods, waiting for warrenty but i cant wait to put work into the car. This helped alot i was wondering about alot of evo X swap parts and which X would be the best to swap from. I dont want to run turbo thou, rather keep it as a safe DD that i can have alot of fun on the hwy to school and work.

I've done this a long time ago... I am at over 30K miles on my build and still running strong. I have EvoX cams, BC lifters, retainers, etc. Alutec pulley, Trans Cooler... List is too long. I am at 196 WHP and it was dyno'd on a really humid night so Im saying 200 whp. Ported throttle body. All total I have about 6 grand tied up in parts and labor. I was flashed by WORKS and tuned by EMP Performance in Shiloh NJ. Launch is slow. CVT restricts a lot, but once Im in 2-3 gear manual mode it really kicks in. Anyne wants to drive my car and feel the difference, Id be more than happy.
