intake

Well intake is installed no issues there!! Used a evo x fuel rail custon return line to the tank and used a factory evo x fuel pump assembly with a evo x fuel pump. Also i went a step further and rather then using a exspensive evo x throttle body i used a eclipse 3.8 v6 tb and worked just fine. 65mm verses evo x 60 mm. All and all i would guess i hit the 250-260 whp mark. Thats also using a stock gts exhaust which is my next mod along with new cams ditching the stock evo 's and going with 272's now that i have the intake.

You would have to have a fuel return line to run a evo x manifold since you cannot use the 4b11 na fuel rail with the evo x manifold without some pain in the a$$ mods to the stock fuel rail.

I wouldnt personally dump the cash into the intake swap on a na until somebody else does it. Theres no knowing if the less restrivtive intake will lose low end power. I would stick with a simple 4g69 throttle body upgrade for now. However if somebody has a spare none turbo manifold and stock na downpipe i will gladly install them, retune and have a dyno done to see if there is any gains for a na model!!

Little 411 on the 4B12 with Evo X cams... yes it can be done and I had everything ready to go.. Cams, followers, retainers, lobes, etc. And here is what I found out. the lobes are a problem. They are causing detonation and the cam sensor on the 4B12 is breaking, which is throwing off timing and breaking motors. Brian Crower and a few others are working on a fix for this. But no one seems to know if you can just put an Evo X cam sensor in instead. Glad I held off. Still doing the build, just minus the cams until they fix the sensor issue.

I'm curious too what compression will be when you swap Evo X internals in 4B11 block.
I just ordered crank, pistons and rods from 12 000 mile Evo X.

Any updates on using stock Evo X cams in a 2.0L 4b11 NA engine?

I can fully tune the car on the dyno so it's just a matter of knowing if the lobes are really causing problems or if that was an isolated issue?

I'd really like an answer to this question as well.

Evo x cams

Evo x cams have higher valve lift duration.you can install the cams and drive
it to your tuner..illl be safe.you will gain low end torque.hp and benefit most in higher rpms.

Do you think it is possible to install them and drive 60-90 miles to the tuner?
So will i "loose" Power on the low end and gain some at higher RPM with the stock EVO X cams?
Michael
Evo x cams valve lift are higher than 4b11 na.you can installed and drive it to your tuner.ill be safe.you will gain power from low to high rpm..

Someone is really going to have to do a before and after dyno to show it is a worthy upgrade. It seems crazy that I may be the first one on my Outlander Sport 2.0L with all the other stuff on my plate... but I'll have multiple sets of Evo X cams sitting in front of me shortly so that might be a reality.
