I vaguely remember the ordeal that Turbo magazine (maybe wrong on the magazine - will confirm with other old miragers and with links if possible), circa 97-99 (shouldn't be in 00). They had a promo promising you can win a converted DSM motor, 5g mirage (basically, they build it up for you to win it) . . . after 3 months of R&D or so, they riced it out with APC-like stuff and called it a day. To me, it was a wasted promo and a slap in my face.

This happed before extreme racing pulled off the ordeal using their talon motor. When they couldn't fix the mirage chassis setup effectively, they sold the car, pulled the motor, and unretired their DSM. the rest is history.

So Vin Diesel says "What do they plan on racing on? Hopes and dreams?". I'm not gonna say "Just buy an EVO" because that's like saying "Hey, I'm a *** buy an EVO so we can molest little boys together". Do us all a favor and hold your chin up high. There will be doubters and there will be haters. It may seem rather expensive. But hey, It would be nice to see something new and fresh for a change. Ya never know! It could appear on magazines like the mAd tYtE iMpOrT 'tuna' or 'Thuper ^O^' Street.

evodreamer, there's an issue of sport compact car I'd like you to read...there's a little article that sums up what other people have gone through trying to put "x" motor in an unproven platform.

No its definitely 3, it says so right there on the page you posted:

"There has really only been one mass produced passenger car 3 rotor engine - the 20B, which was a twin turbo fuel injected engine."

My friend's got a 20B that he's putting in a FB I guess? The USDM 1G Rx-7. Should be a killer drag car. I'll try to swing by his shop to snap a few pics.

yeah, the 3 rotor 20b has become a pretty popular big-block swap for fd's... it came out of the jdm cosmo. the 4 rotor is a frankenstien setup, still early in dev. I haven't got a chance to pull up that info...sorry guys.

Then you'll start off with bigger injectors ~510cc's and a big 16G turbo, both of which will get you close to 400whp with minimal bolt ons, some race gas and GOOD tuning. The T-25 that comes stock with late model DSM's is good to about 250whp max.
Err thats an Evo VIII motor, but yes its DEFFINATLY not a daily driver lol

Oh yeah. The story I had heard behind the pictures was that it was Evo IV motor with an Evo VII or VIII head.

Its still a possibility but money is tight right now and im more concerned about getting the body of my car fixed after being hit 3 times. So for now its left in limbo.... I will detail everyone as the story unfolds.
