keyless entry

My girlfriend just bought a 03 oz and it didnt come with the keyless entry remote. I have the old one from my 04 r/a but I wasnt sure if the dealer could possibly reprogram it or something? anyone know?

True they probably will make you buy a new one, but I they should be able to re-program it as long as her car is keyless capable.

If the current one won't work, then try getting one off of Ebay. There's a ton of them on there...

If they r/a are the same as the evos, then you can program it yourself.

The oz and the r/a are the same I think (they look the same) the remote is programed for my old r/a (I dont have it anymore) so thats why I wanted to program it to work with the oz

Like I said.. if the Lancers are the same as the Evos then you can do it the same way.

Double check, but you basically ground pin 1 and 4 on the obdII port, then click each remote's unlock button once. You're then all set. Don't forget, you need the key in the ignition first.
