The Ultimate Milage and Gas Milage Thread!
hmmmm. air filter may be dirty and needs changing/cleaning, injectors may be clogged, tire pressure may be badly off, in need of an oil change, or could be a combo of all these things. Go get a good tune up then see if it changes anything.
Who decided Royal Purple is the best? Maybe if we were driving a G35. It really is moronic to put $9-10 per quart oil in a car that was $18,000 new and is now worth about $5,000 after a couple years.
You can switch oil back and forth. Doesn't matter. If it did matter there would be no semi-synthetic oil since its a mixture.

the ralliart is worth more. My 04 lancer with 40000 miles in perfect condition is only rated $9000. Royal purple and all that high priced oil is really only needed if you have a performance engine or one that needs better lubricant, temperature and such. Like a bike or evo, or turboed. other than that, it helps but isnt manditory, so if you want to use your money on it, its your decision. You do get better mileage and power out of it though.
I am 6'3" and weigh 130 lbs, i get 27-29 mpg even when I drive hard lol.

I dont know why you picked up the extra mileage, how long has the mileage been good like that. As you drive, your gas mileage will go down a bit, then after changing your oil, it picks up a few miles, no matter what oil you put in it. There are just bigger gains for better oil. if you had used, say, royal purple, you might have picked up maybe 4 more mpg. Who knows. The good stuff is expensive because it has been proven with dynos and mileage.
