The Ultimate Milage and Gas Milage Thread!
300 city or highway? damn, cause I prolly only get about 215 or more if city, or about 250 mixed, but if I do all highway then 300 or more is about right for me. 04 Lancer ES stock with MT. Or maybe its mostly how I drive, I don't usually keep it under 3500 rpm sometimes...haha
I fill up my car when the gas light comes on. That means I fill up with 10gal of fuel. 13.2gal tank I believe. In the city I usually hit about 320 miles.. and thats driving a little bit aggressive, but not too hard. (shift about 3500-4000 rpms) On the highway I get about 380 to 410 miles on 10gal. So thats about 32city/40highway. My engine mods are RRM Header, Injen SRI, RRM Test Pipe, Magnaflow Catback. As soon as I started modding my car I noticed better and better gas milage. I don't know why, cause some other people get worse gas milage. I think it depends on your climate and elevation where you live at though. I live 20-300ft above sea level in Michigan.
I have the RRM stage 2 turbo with 255 fuel pump and bigger injectors. I only get a little over 200 miles per full tank. On the highway I can get about 275 per tank. I don't think that's too bad for a turbo considering my fuel pump is like a damn fire hose! What sucks is that I have to use the highest octane gas! My wallet is hurting right now!

on the highway the best i've done is around 360 when i was lightly modded...once i put in the headers + DP i developed a heavy foot again and only get around 230ish in the city and 270-285ish on the highway..

i've done 350 on the highway, but i don't let it get that low. i fill up around 300, just in case i miss the last gas station for the next 200 miles haha
but city, i dunno, less of course, i cant remember how much though

no pics man...i am in disbelief! I drive mostly (75%) highway and the best i get is around 280-300
I was getting worse gas milage with stock header and a test pipe... then when I put on the RRM header, I got awesome gas milage. With stock header+test pipe, I was only getting like 24mpg city and 27 highway. Adding the header gave me like 180% better gas milage.. maybe it is just the combo of mods you are using. I still have the stock downpipe though. (manual trans..sorry I forgot to say that I think) synthetic oil too.. Mobil 1 5w-30. And a K&N Oil Filter.

wiretap you get really great gas mileage. I live in burbs of chicago, so it can't be that much different where your from. Everday driving for like going to and from work, school...mostly city, once in a while highway I average 280. Anything over that I get the gas light to come on. Now with my radar I have a heavy foot and gas light goes on around 250. I have about the same mods as you do besides headers, grounding kit, and spark plugs. Maybe if I get a header things will be better.
