What, people not telling you what you want to hear? No, go out and buy every bolt-on you can find, spend thousands of dollars on a motor that wasn't made for performance and just naively think that you've gained 50 hp because of what you saw on TV, in magazine ads or in video games. Is that what you'd rather people do, lie to your face? If you want to beat that SI, you need serious mods. You might have a weight advantage but you're down on horsepower, down on traction and down on design. the SI was designed by Honda to be a performance car, the lancer was not.

ok from what i have read in here. the rrm sri would make 7-8 whp because of the very restrictive oem box same with the exhaust so right there im looking at about 15 whp just from intake and exhaust +piggy 5hp = 20 whp

i think ur gunna need a turbo + exhaust + intake + piggy 2 beat the SI

possibly stripping out ur interior, or at least taking out the bak seats, i believe the SI is lighter

power to weight ratio

the K series motor is one fine motor

Those numbers aren't supported nor is simply adding them up the right way to do it. People claimed that my old lancer would have 150 hp because of numbers thrown out there by various entities yet I didn't even break 90 whp.

i now think... and think it may b possible without turbos and what not as i said before...

injen catback- ill say 13-15 hp gains
injen cai- 10-11 hp
rrm headers bout 10
pully lighten up the restriction a bit
cf hood. (this is gettin expensive) for weight
pulstar spark plugs have been known to add bout 8-10 but also arent fully reliable and work on certain cars well. as we know from reading other threads about them
with all that u will have close? id assume
and defnitly more tg then the civic si sitting at about 134

im trying to think of more performance parts to help. anything im missing? MINUS turbo, or nos, or something like that
