i think you take that and devide it by 2.2 for miles...so about 220miles i think.

 

You divide by 1.6 to get mph from kph. So that's about 340 miles per tank.

I just drove from Minneapolis to New Jersey last month and got about 37 miles per gallon. Now that is on a Lancer with a RMR intake, RRM header and a RMR exhaust.

 

I usually get 320 miles out of 10 gallons on the highway.

240 or less intown if I drive like an azz.

You have got to be kidding If you find the article, please send it to me, this I gotta see. I honestly don't think cars produce that much drag from their windows at 70 mph and under. Maybe that article would change my mind, but it sounds far fetched at the moment.

 

oh yeah, and I usually get about 30 mpg on average, which is usually about half highway, half city or highway traffic. Waiting to see what I get with the reflash.

For those of you rating by miles per tank, keep in mind everybody fills up at a different level. I almost always fill up at 1/8 tank, so I usually put 10 gallons in (and usually have 300-320 on the meter) so that would indicate 30-32 mpg.

 

280 almost 1 tank..well 280 miles and the light comes up..but i got bigger wheels..so acturally its probebly going 300 miles and this is 80% city driving.

 

Just goes to show that it's less a matter of auto or stick or mods and stuff, it's how you drive. City/highway, lead foot/light foot. Deltron claims 35 mpg on his car, which is more than me, and he shifts at 3500 compared to my 2500 when commuting. Then there's at the track, I got about 10-15 mpg at Buttonwillow this Summer

 

I have heard the same about the "drag" caused by having your windows open except I think it was on TV. They were saying it was a car Myth that riding with AC on killls gas mileage. The Guy said myth because there is as much as a 10% reduction in gas mileage due to wind "drag" with the windows open.

my guess is that after peope put on an intake they start hitting the gas harder to hear it growl.....i know i did.

 

yes over 45 miles per hour (or so), the amount of efficiency lost to drag (having your windows down) is greater than the consumption of energy by the compressor in your AC unit. Either way you are reducing your gas mileage over driving with your windows up and no AC on.

I now have an intake and get better mileage than before, but I dont gun it at every opportunity.

 

my average is 19-23 mpg. w/ no mods. One time I got 27 and another 29 (probably just a fluke). Anybody mind listing what mods they have found that improve mileage and which ones hurt it?

 

Ok I used 11.5 gallons on my last trip and got 332.8 miles. I thought this was pretty good since I wasnt totally empty yet. I have RRM non i/c turbo, exhaust, header, intake, and new tyc tail lights. (the tail lights give me a lot better gas mileage too)

 

That's about 30 mpg, which seems good to me. I am getting about 27-28 average with an intake and reflash. Strange enough, that's exactly what i got before the mods, too. BTW, a turbo actually does improve mpg slightly, IF you don't lay into it.
