took me 4+ months to recieve the kit. im not exaggerating at all.
I had to pick it up from the long beack port. The costs were rediculous and I will never buy anything overseas in my life. it was a 1,000 mistake, but i learned.

ok..... i'm going to take back what i said in another thread/topic. i originally stated that i saw an accolade kit at hot import nights. it looked great.... fitment was perfect, and he said the prep was no problem. well i assumed it was an accolade kit seeing that his car is on the accolade website, and guess what? ITS NOT AN ACCOLADE KIT! i ran into him last night and he confirmed it. he said he just found out too that accolade was using his pictures on their website.

anyways i also had the chance to meet someone that DID have the accolade kit (apex kit i think). well heres what i noticed, and what he pointed out to me.
1. he waited about 5 months to get his kit..... very upset
2. the front crash bar needed to be shaved in order for the front bumper to fit. even then, the bumper did not fit right. the bumper is such a tight fit that the crash bar is actually making stress marks on the bumper (sort of like it wants to bust through).
3. same deal with the back bumper. they had to custom make a rear crash bar for him
4. both bumpers seem to dip on the sides by the fenders (on all sides), it almost seems like accolade missed about an inch of material.
5. the hood has no hood latch on it....... very upset. it fits poorly, and i think he said there is a gap on one side bigger than the other .

so you be the judge.
hey .L. ... r u talking about QtLancer's kit?

Thumbs up Finally got it on

So all that grief I put up with for my kit was worth it in the long run. It cost a lot of money and time, but my kit is finally finished and looks really good.

I realize when I started this thread I was not the happiest person in the world, I had just got back from the body shop with really disturbing news.

After everything is said and done the hood did not fit at all, (bummer), the rest of the body kit needed a lot of work and TLC to fit properly, but they did a damn good job for what they had to work with. A lot of the flat edges on the kit needed to be flattened and molded to fit properly, and the whole thing needed to be resurfaced. The guy that worked on my car said that that was the only car that he worked on the entire time it was in the shop to get it done and look perfect. And it does. See what money and time will give you.

The only things that I was not happy about was obviosly the fitment issues with the hood, the cost, and the time it took to rework the materials. It took two weeks and $1900 just to fit the kit, then they had to take it back off to paint it, which took another 1/2 week to paint and dry and to do the finishing touches.

As soon as the exhaust gets done I will have pics posted of the final product. NOTE: Anyone that wants the Apex II kit plan on extra money for custom exhaust since it will not line up at all, and for the person that is gonna cut thier kit to fit the OEM exhaust, what are you thinking? Don't do that, do it right and get custom exhaust that fits properly. Just my .02. Anyway, as soon as we have a finished product I will post pics.

On another note, anyone who lives in Las Vegas and want body work done, go to Winners Circle in the LVMS (Las Vegas Motor Speedway). Best in town in my oppinion.

everyone copies everyone in the bodykit buisness. its up to people to find a place that is reliable/service/price/fitment/quality.
fiberglass vs. urethane vs. etc. has already been discussed. draw your own conclusions/choices.

jerzpnoy: yes i'm talking about qtlancer's kit. i asked what company he got it from..... and honestly he dosent know. his cousin helps him locate all his stuff. its definately NOT accolade. thats for sure.

well suprisingly my body kit from accolade fits just about perfect, me and my grandfather installed it yesterday (hes works in a bodyshop) we didnt experience any problems with the kit, i have the Apex II by the way, i love it, it looks great, the the fitment of the hood i got from accolade was off by a lil bit, theres a gap around the grill piece caused by the hood but its fine, considering all those ppl had problems with there WHOLE package, just posting to say that mabe there fitment issues are fixed? or mabe i just got lucky, either way my car looks HOT now lol

Accolade is a good company, I don't understand why you guys got a whole thread about their problems. I bet every other body kit company has its shares of imperfections. You guys gotta stop reflecting on their past. They are a good company with cheaper prices and better matierial.

I didnt read everyones posts but i read the first page. It says on the website Garunteed Fitment. That means if it doesnt fit u can **** them so who cares if it doesnt fit? Just take a picture of that with printscreen and if they wont refund or something ****ing sue the **** out of them.

Simple as that

quote from www.body-kits.com

"* All kits comes with a Guarantee on Fitment"

Right there.
