thats really bad to hear the 03 oz from what i have found out dont come from the factory with a tranny filter. thats what the parts houses in my town have said so there is that for future ref. i would see what the cost is to fix, and compare to what it is to buy used

 

I've read on these forums that they dont. Just a screen. Thats why before I tackle anything that I dont know 100% I check here first because I dont want to end up like this...

 

Well, I got a buddy of mine to help me out. He tore my transmission apart and reassembled it for a couple hundred bucks and a case of beer. He also told me that there is no transmission filter, so now I pose the question. If there is no filter, how does it protect itself from tiny foreign objects? And if there isn't much of a risk of anything like that happening, why put a filter in the first place?

 

^^ Right here man there is just a screen, this will filter out anything that could harm your tranny
