did you hook your air flow sensor back up right? How does the car run? Those are the only things i can think of off the top of my head

Its definitely the airflow sensor...maybe its not connected properly into the new intake, or you just simply forgot to put that back in. But definitely check it. The engine is not getting a proper reading of Oxygen and therefore displays the service engine light.

As long as you don't have the MAF put on backwards and you didn't damage the honeycomb, check any vacuum hoses and wiring harnesses in the area to make sure they aren't loose. If you still can't get it, have Autozone or a similar place pull the code and if it's an air sensor problem, put it back to stock and see what's going on.

If you can't put the old one back together, you'll need to buy a new one. It's the Mass Airflow Meter (MAF). 35 bucks is awesome, it's like 300 at the dealer.

Whoever told you that removing the honeycomb was a good idea is retarded. Take them out back and hit them with a shovel.

Try not to drive the car until you replace that MAF. It could create a super rich or super lean run and then you'll be really screwed.

I'm not saying you WILL run lean, but there is a chance.

Damage to your emmissions equipment is possible, and that's not covered under warranty. Engine damage can also result. Try running a search...there have been a few people that ran lean and you could get a better idea reading what they dealt with.
