need help installing tach
I'm having trouble locating the tach line(wire). Does anyone know where it is and point me in the right direction?

Does anyone else have a tach installed in their OZ Lancer? I need to run a tap into the tach wire but I can't locate it. I've successfully connected the other two lines.

Maybe hit up vfaq.com? They have wiring diagrams for AFC's which require the tach pulse signal so maybe you can look at that? Worth a shot regardless that it's DSM oriented.
here is the install guide for the 3g eclipse. i dunno how similar the wiring would be but here is how they do it http://www.geocities.com/jeff712walker/tachinstall.htm i'd check out the wire colors to make sure that they are the same or if different, what colors they are
Found the trick to getting the signal line for the tach. I didnt even have to splice anything. In the engine compartment on the left of the fuse box you will find that the Mitsubishi was kind enough to make a socket that directly outputs the engine's speed readouts. simply plug the wire into the socket at the bottom and you get instant RPM readings on your new aftermarket tach. Thanks to Kirk of Browning Mitsu for assisting me on research.
