and a third. And a fourth.

One for DD years 0-4; one for DD years 5-10. One for tracking. Rotate one and two's parts. Fourth for saving for years 10+ when I'm figuring out how many cars my kids have wrecked during their early driving years.

not all evos are created equally

I've been reading some of the comments many of you have left. It's great to see such great discussion. I don't actually have an evo, and I've never actually driven an evo, but when I see one one the road--VIII,IX, or X--I'm simply in awe. I read the "car & driver" and "motor trend" articles when the evo was first released in the U.S. I read the evo v. wrx articles. I watched the evo v. sti battle on top gear. and I read the latest evo x article in one of the mags that attested to the X's amazing ability to surpass previous generations' achievements, in so many words. Like I said before, my opinion is solely based on things I've read and seen, and not on anything I've actually experienced, but I still have an opinion. If I were to go out an buy an evo tonight, and I had to choose between the VIII,IX, and X, I'd probably go with a IX MR. Or maybe I'd go with an '04 GSR.. Or maybe I'd go with a X GSR... Maybe some of this was but any evo would be awesome Well, here's to indecisiveness hopefully I can get myself in a place where i can buy an evo

Man today is the posts of the subjectives. We're glad you don't like the body style... now can you post some real reasons?

^^^ Totally agree, thats all I ever hear is that it's not "RAW" like the 8 or 9. Isn't it a good thing that the X is more refined and developed that the VIII and IX. I think that Ryan Gates is a great example of how well this more refined platform can perform for an entire season. (Not one loss in 09) Just my .02 cents, but the point on "evolution" isn't to make something worse. Which I don't think mitsu did at all.

Well it is funny because people complain about how the CT9A did not have anything or and refinement. Mitsubishi listens and gives you the X which responds really well to mods and seems to turn better than the previous generation... before mods...

But it is all subjective as to what raw and the fat pig really means.

my Evo VIII SSl wasnt much lighter to my evo X GSR. Defenietly hard to say from the VIII SSL seats to the X GSR is a heavy PIG... Heavier yes , that much? nope.

We may have different preferences on which roman numeral we prefer but remember at the end of the day are all here because of our love of the EVO.

Besides tuning changes the game entirely. The only real comparison would be between stock cars. Once you start making changes the word 'best' flys out the window.

Though I think we can all agree manual > paddles, sorry Ferrari.

I don't think we all agree on that at all. You should drive a tuned X MR on a track before you say that. And yes, I have midgetspec, so you can rest assured it's tuned right.

Besides that, yes the word best flys out the window when comparing evos to evos tuned. But when comparing to other cars tuned, evo still gets the best word imo.

I assume you are refering to the manual > paddles part of my post. Which admittedly is just an opinion. Though one shared by MANY driving enthusiasts. Any car I can drive while my left leg is asleep is just not for me.
