Evo X vs. Evo VIII and IX
The additional weight of the X does not come from the chasis as much as you think. How much do you think the 20 SRS airbags weigh? That's a large portion of the 200+ lb increase.
This quote is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read. I literally feel like my IQ score dropped below 80 after reading this. It's a shame that we're both evo owners.
"Mr. Madison, what you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."
No but seriously, a lot of you IX owners are saying that us X owners claim our cars are better. That is completely not the case. It's the other way around. Look through the first 98 pages. Everyone trashed the X. And I know for a fact that I never said the X is a superior car in all aspects when compared to a IX. The X does have some improvements, but it's by no means a completely better car.
Don't forget it's the first year of a brand new chassis and a brand new engine. The Evo IX is the greatest production CT9A 4G63 car available. The fact that the new platform and engine are even close to the IX shows a hell of lot. The X is the tamest of the CZ4A's. Power is only going to go up on the XI and XII. A more accurate comparison is comparing the greatest CT9A to the greatest CZ4A. Unfortunately we'll be waiting 5-6 years.

Do you really think comparing the Evo VII (first year chassis) to the Evo X (first year chassis) would make things any more clear than they are now? Or how about Evo VI vs Evo IX? Please...
Lets just agree to to disagree and move on.

For the chasis it would make things a little more clear. For the engine though, don't forget the 20 years of perfecting that went into the 4G63. The JDM 1987 Galant VR4 was the first car with that motor. My point is simply that for brand new unproven technology, the Evo X is really proving just as good as former Evo's. (Except for the 1,000 hp drag monsters. As of right now, the 4G63 wins in that regard.)
first time in the US history the USCC champ is an EVO. but the X. the VIII got the 3rd place.
The X set already 2 track record ... and this car is not even a year old.
How long is the evo came to the states? 5 years???
and at least 5 other year experience...
vs the less then a year experience and car on track. And look , you think the X is not up to a challenge or not even an EVO?

So far nothing but evolved this car from the previous ones. Just like any other evo before.
