What is there not to like about a '13 GT500?

Are you guys blind? I bet anyone hating on it has not driven it. The 5.0 was sick, I can't imagine the GT500.

I thought the exact same thing before some seat time. I thought the Evo was no doubt better. My mind has changed.

 

I'd rather have a Focus turbo hybrid + AWD. Throw some suspension at it and it'll beat anything on the street or around a track....

 

Just wow at all the fanboys... This almost looks like a ****ing civic forum or something! How sad! Just like the TT RS vs Evo thread lol all the fanboys which most just bought the evo, have never been to a track, dont know **** and start talking and making up their own numbers, are scared of driving (saying how hard to drive a rwd car is? The real question is if the OP intends to ever run from the cops because if he does the GT500 will stall out right when the cops find him! C'mon Eleanor!!! Evo X FTW!!

Seriously though I don't know why this is being debated like it's a real comparison. They are completely different animals with completely different strengths and weaknesses. And all these numbers and stats and race comparisons with professional drivers have no relevance. What is relevant is what YOU are looking for in a car and what kind of car YOU are good at driving. Even professional race car drivers prefer different styles (AWD vs RWD) of cars and excel at what they know.

 

Now you know why everyone else in different car communities thinks Evo drivers are douches.

 

Both the Evo & the GT 500 are Ego cars. You buy one or the other because of the way it makes you feel. I say buy the one that makes you the most excited to drive. How that excitement is derived is purely personal so other peoples opinions are completely irrelevent.

 

Couldn't agree more ...... I came from a jeep and all they did was help help and help. First time I came on hear people yelling . Use search, noob look it up yourself. Then you do , then they yell why you bumping old post. I hardly ever come here because 80 percent are d bags. Just watch the posts after I post this. Remember I put 80 not 100.

Every community has their own jerks. The Evolution fan base is no exception, but you can't honestly tell me you never ran into people like that on other car sites...

The majority of these people getting upset on this is

1) They are bashing on a car within said car's own forum
2) Majority of Evolution owners are young kids (most who have no respect for others)

Either way, like I said, no site is deplete of "d-bags."

 

Back on topic..

GT500 is baller. Very nice powehouse, tweak the suspension and you're good. Perfect for a weekend car! Again, baller.

Evo X is more a daily driven car. You can drop signicant money to make it a beast and a weekend warrior.

Based on what you're looking for... get the GT500.

Just drove one last week, I don't know which one it was but it had 550HP KR500 or something like that. I can say that a "WILD horse " from 1st to 4th gear hold on!! takes alot to foot work to keep that horse straight I can say that! But if your into peeling rubber and doing burn out's its the Perfect Car for U.

P.S. But if I was spending 54K! I be looking at a used GTR that would spank all!!! including 11 second runs all day.

 

You can't get a that great of a GTR for money though.

Plus a GT500 is faster, and with the right tires just as quick in the 1/4mile.

If you are gonna get a GTR i wouldn't consider anything older than a '12.

BTW I much prefer a GTR over a GT500 just so you know I'm actually biased towards the GTR but I know the older ones aren't faster than the '13 GT500.
