99.9% of RS owners will never track their car anyways. So I guess its moot.
Again, why do you care? Do you pop into Evo threads to tell Evo owners they shouldn't be sliding all over the place having fun because it wears out their tires and your offended at the idea that somebody else might have to spend their money on new tires?

Edited for truth.

Why is it stupid? You don't want to be able to send 70% of the power to the rear wheels?

That Car & Driver article is pretty solid.

I think its stupid because I think its a gimmick. Instead of focusing on making the car go fast, they spend time/money/weight into making people think they can go all gymkana. I would prefer a driver controlled center diff similar to what is found on the STI.

You clearly like the car. I do not. Lets just agree to disagree.

Saying that they focused on just a drift button and not on making the car go fast is an ignorant and short-sighted statement given all the information that has been disclosed so far.

That is just ridiculous and not an opinion, although you like to package it under the guise of that so you don't have to take responsibility.

You have extreme tunnel vision on this.

Its not just the drift button, its the whole package. Drift button, artificial exhaust pops and bangs, piping engine noises through the speakers, 19" wheels, fwd based awd system, heavy curb weight, conservative styling.

To me, its the culmination of what someone in marketing thinks the kids will like.

Okay I feel like this thread just keeps going in circles around Nemsins pie hole that just keeps parroting itself.

Let us move on to greener pastures...

Then don't buy the ****ing car man! I genuinely don't get why you're posting in this thread. You freely admit to not liking the car at all. All you do is ***** and moan about the various aspects that make the Focus RS the Focus RS. You're like the guy that agrees to go out to dinner with his friends to a sushi restaurant, and then spends the evening complaining that he doesn't like seafood. Nobody cares, dude. You're a wet blanket in this thread.

Ow, I am sorry. I didn't realize this thread was just for people who love the car to praise it. I will move on.

Any car that is fuel injected and has pops and bangs, flames out the exhaust, whatever, is tuning induced, and are therefore artificial. The "drift button" is simply a driving mode, to go along with normal, sport and track, get over it. 19" wheels are easily changed; maybe you shouldn't buy a new Porsche either because they all come with 20's. You have yet to drive it, so complaining about the AWD system is simply stupid, especially with all of the new info that has come to light. It's really not that heavy. And conservative styling? Your concerned with "artificial" pops and bangs but you want the thing to have a more aggressive body kit on it? Make up your mind..

You are right, you convinced me. Focus RS is best car ever. I ordered my Ken Block sweatshirt. Can I rejoin the RS love thread now?

Nobody is saying it's the best car ever. You're acting like a child. All you've done for page upon page is complain about the car. You don't like the styling. You don't like the drivetrain. You don't like the drift mode. You don't like the nature of the car. It's not aggressive enough. It's too aggressive or fake. It's too heavy. It doesn't have enough race car parts. Ford doesn't have enough racing pedigree. The Focus doesn't have enough racing pedigree.

It is clear that you don't like the car. You will never buy one. You have no interest in it. So again, why the **** are you even here? Are you "that guy", the person who sits around *****ing about things that have zero impact on his life?

I am here to talk about cars. Sometimes I talk about things I like about them. Sometimes about things I dislike about them. When I posted the reasons why the RS is not for me, I got asked why. I tried to articulate why. But I won't be negative about the RS anymore, as it clearly hurts some people's feelings.

I am glad Ford is making performance cars. Hopefully Ford rejoins the WRC.

No you're not. You're not talking, you're complaining. You toss out factually incorrect statements, and then back away when you get called on it. You ***** and moan about a car you freely admit you have no interest in. Don't try to claim that you're here to talk about cars.
