Focus RS
example: people make Evos competitive at drag racing. why take the car, make it not do what it was meant to do, then make it do something any pony car from the 80s can but for 1/3 of the price? preference LOL.
Those homologation parts are 'directly from the showroom' to the stages.
Maybe if the intercooler is used to is maximum potential since its "so efficient" then indeed it should be right at home at 30/40psi like the rally cars do it wont have the time to collect water. Just as a note rally cars are not run flatout all the time even with anti-lag or driving technique that's drag racing.
true. also, hardcore drag racers probably wouldn't care about much else and go with an LX Fox Body. But for someone that likes the looks and performance of a new mustang and still wants to drag race it, they can always swap the rear axle. if they have the money..

that would be a weird excuse... specially when they offer a track package with super grippy tire options which are not cheap to say at least. Also all those videos comments on drifting and track video montage- modes which "readjust the car attitude and performance " etc.
That's not a good excuse by far.
I hope the upgradeability will be fine. Montune - cosworth has good aftermarket prt. Now the only question is how much they asking for and how much you have to upgrade to be able to say its "safe " on track.
PS:Those comments on Evo ACD being not reliable is BS. I am running 480 Lb/ft wtq on (dynodynamics) completely stock parts, even my rear diff is stock but an EVO IX lately ( but exedytwin disc is a change only). When I took my AYC out it was still good and one happy lucky Evo owner using it
so no the EVo drivetrain are pretty reliable, Granted Subaru has even better one..
Before you start crying again, I just respond on some comments on Evo acd. Not comparing.

it could always be a disclaimer of sorts. "well, we made it public knowledge to not modify the car", etc.
in addition to anything expressed in writing and all.

Anyway, I am still think and truly hope the car will be great on track. Juts like any other RS was before.
They were truly astonishing cars. Hopefully this will be a next one.
Ford is currently registering parts for the RS as homologation (separate from MSport) legal parts so yes those will end up on some form of GP.N/R4 or full spec RS cars...

that's mean they will have proper mechanical replacements for the stock awd system - ABS etc!
PS very few rally cars run 30 never mind 40 PSI. In fact I know maybe 2 or 3 which does 32 34 PSI
Those are the factory teams. I am running 23 -24 peak boost which is mostly if its hits for a sec or two. And I am still making 315 whp and 480 wtq
we do a lots of pedal to the metal , but the boost drops off very fast, it wont matter you are on it. Its just a nature of the restricted engine which has 34 mm straw to suck the air in
