Focus RS
I bet if Mitsubishi rereleased the IX, a lot of us would buy one. Meanwhile the 1 person who almost bought an RS, backed out.
So what is keeping people on this forum from buying a Focus RS?

If I didn't my Mitsu, then I'd be super interested in the RS.
I wouldn't. Why would I want a 2016 car that has an interior from 2003? I think the Evo IX is the second best Evo, best being the Evo VI TME, but at this point, I'd only buy one as a toy.
I agree with you on the 6 TME, but I think the IX interior still looks great despite being from 2006.
It just seems like people on this forum should be right the Focus RS' target market. Yet we are not exactly lining up to go buy one. Yes I understand that the window for ordering a 2016 is now closed, but the hype train started long ago and if you wanted one you probably could have gotten one.

Congratulations.
Would you like a cookie?

This forum is not an indication, at all, of the general market. It is a biased group of individuals who are enthusiasts, sometimes blindly, for a particular car.
A lot of Evo owners switch cars. Not a lot of Evo owners want to tell a group of Evo owners why they decided to switch cars because it almost always ends up the same way:
"Evo is the bestest, your new car sucks"
I really like the RS, but there's other cars I'd rather have. Another high-strung boosted 4 cylinder isn't in my future. Next car for me will be either an AWD TT 6 cylinder (Porsche or GT-R) or a RWD V8 (C7/C7Z). Evo will stay in my family until it's no longer driveable.

i told many times Evo X Fq is the best evo ever build for street. Even the EVo IX FQs are better then a VI TME. Same categroy since all special edition are unavialabe for the USA
TME has a sentimental value which i can respect, but its a same to say for thw VW beetle. The FQ has a bit less i do agree with that, but that doesnt change on the performance reilablity etc. Also the meanest looking evo ever i think the 5.
)
VI TME and the Zero are fine cars but the rest of VI... just not that good as the later editions. Which is basically true all the evo line exept the 4 and the 7.

Motor Trend in their April 2016 issue, did a silly comparison of a Chevrolet SS and a Audi S3 because they are both roughly $50k. Anyway, in the article it was mentioned that the S3 was 3420lbs, did 0-60 in 4.4s and the 1/4 in 13.0s. The 2 liter has 292 HP and the car has a dual clutch auto. The car is 175.9 inches long.
Whoops, 2017 with more power, 305 hp now.

Only because I already have an AWD turbo 4 cylinder car for my toy vehicle. If I was in the market for a daily driver car so that My truck was only used for towing or when I needed a truck, the FoRS would be on the short list of vehicles I would be considering.
More people would be willing if it was reasonably available to buy or order at this point. Subaru can update their offering to make it more difficult to choose the RS if it actually becomes a buying option.
So, will any car magazine do a RS vs. Evo X LE comparison? People said NO! The Evo is dead...except you can buy a LE and you can't a RS this year.

Fact is you can buy evo X today every where and the rest of the year since its available at the dealers. RS is still unaviable here. although my friend has in hand in Hungary
so no the evo is still on the market hence why they should have a legit place in those tests. Specially the FE edition. Next year would be the year when Evo shouldnt be included anymore.
That is just a simple fact.
wonder why the Ford completely excluded yhe X in any test, and stating isn't relevant the X performance anymore. When in the real wold actually it is.
And its been mentioned many forums already not just here or the Mitsubishi forums.
