Fact is you can buy evo X today every where and the rest of the year since its available at the dealers. RS is still unaviable here. although my friend has in hand in Hungary

so no the evo is still on the market hence why they should have a legit place in those tests. Specially the FE edition. Next year would be the year when Evo shouldnt be included anymore.
That is just a simple fact.
wonder why the Ford completely excluded yhe X in any test, and stating isn't relevant the X performance anymore. When in the real wold actually it is.
And its been mentioned many forums already not just here or the Mitsubishi forums.
Neither the FQ360 or 340 are available in the US. That's not a fair test.

Why do a comparison knowing full well that one car has been discontinued?

Because anyone in the market for a sub-40K turbo car can, and should, still consider a new 2015 Evo X. Just saying its not made any more doesn't remove it from the marketplace (at least not as long as they are still sitting on dealer lots).

Look, I am interested in the comparison, but I can see why magazines are hesitant to do it knowing that they're doing a comparison test on a "death row" car. I wouldn't be surprised if the Evo was included in a shootout, but I also wouldn't be shocked if it was left out, especially since the Evo X hasn't changed much since 2008.

yep.

X changed or not, its on the market available in brand new condition at the deaker, and its been used as a benchmark even Ford used it.

So the Fe is a no brainer test mule.

The TME also never was avialable in USA market so irrelevant then to bring it up

Anyway here is a proper body kit for the RS even though this is a Fiesta lol

if the RS would come out something simular i would be all over it.
RS seems pretty neutral without wide body for my taste. But this is a killer:

Mitsubishi probably won't hand over an Evo X for free to do a comparison. They already know they're going to sell every last one they made, they don't care about a magazine comparison..

Reading comprehension, Rob, learn it. I mentioned that I like the Evo VI TME the best. I'm also not American, and the car is available in my country. At no point did I suggest that it should be used in a comparison test.

if the VI TME is available in your country then the FQ should be too

i completely fine with personal opinion like the VI TME is a best, that is why i said i can totally get the sentimental side of it. S long as they wont stating it as an actual fact. I like it most in fact is a different meaning.

Really nice car and unique, also extremely fast even today standards.

Don't talk of things you don't know anything about, Rob . It just makes you wrong.

The Evo VI is available as an imported vehicle as it's now older than 15 years. No FQ Evos are older than 15 years at this time.

Not in the US. We have to wait until they're 25yrs old. We are just now able to R32's...

You can 'make' an FQ for less than you can buy an FQ they are mostly HKS parts anyway so if you so desired you can part search or just buy the HKS equivalent if its that important to make a comparison.

I didn't say you were. That's why in my post I said "We have to wait" not "You have to wait"...
