You admitting there will be a fix implies you acknowledge there is a problem. We are making progress.

If/when Ford fixes the issue, we can revisit whether the car makes the claimed 350hp. For now, it clearly does not.

Relying on the aftermarket to fix things, and void the warranty in the process, is fail.

Its not a conspiracy theory its fact. Ford claims near full time overboost yielding 350hp. Its pretty clear that is simply not the case.

Hopefully, Ford steps up and issues a free software update that resolves the issue so the car actually lives up to the marketing. We will see when/if that happens....

you don't have to be a dick, the purpose of me asking was to take some of the focus (insert pun) off the RS and open it up to a broader discussion about the ford powertrain

FYI, the Fiesta ST and Focus ST are pretty solid power wise stock.

 

The ecoboost mustang is rated at 310 HP/320 lb-feet and I don't think it has any sort of overboost feature.

So, no.

 

In real life, I work and socialize with people that are smart enough to accept facts and listen to reason. Apparently that is too much to expect on evom.

I wonder why its not a problem for people on http://www.focusrs.org/ to grasp the inconsistent boost issue.
