you don't have to be a dick, the purpose of me asking was to take some of the focus (insert pun) off the RS and open it up to a broader discussion about the ford powertrain
Makes me want to go out and buy one and find out!!!Your distraction is the same plot I played with my kids when they had obsessive repetitive conduct issues.

Ok bring out the Amby....Or should I rail for awhile. I still want an RS no matter what he says. Just like most though I have reservations about new model debuts.
In real life, I work and socialize with people that are smart enough to accept facts and listen to reason. Apparently that is too much to expect on evom.
I wonder why its not a problem for people on http://www.focusrs.org/ to grasp the inconsistent boost issue.
Uhhh...buy the car...be like them...please....move along. These are not the torque numbers you are looking for.

He's all yours. Every conversation with him goes in circles, and all that's going to happen when this issue is resolved is he'll ***** about something else. He's a never-ending source of Ford hating rhetoric coupled with self-pleasuring ego stroking.

Thanks .....but I think if I manage to peel off all the incessant narcissism
there won't be anything left.
Looks like the the Mustang platform Ecoboost motor is progressing nicely
in the aftermarket world. Heard a mention that FORD racing will be introducing cams
for this motor.
You see in the real world true car enthusiast could care less about what the stock
car delivers. They get to work and develop outputs and levels of performance that exhibits their enthusiasm. No whine -one -one
Seeing how well the aftermarket is embracing the ecoboost product the RS should follow nicely.

I must be some kind of a masochist for not just biting my tongue and just letting this die, BUT there are people who race in classes that do not allow modifications, and to them it will matter a great deal. Im not really sure where the ecoboost will fit into the Fun Ford Weekend / NHRA world but it will.
Probably will fit similar to the way the 4G63 did in the Mitsu regalia. But then this is M'erica
As far as the "stocker" enthusiasts go. I have found many to be even more resourceful and educated of their platforms.
They are true enthusiasts too and optimize accordingly.
Even when account for engine displacement, peak power at 5500 rpm would suggest a smallish turbo that is being pushed beyond its optimal efficiency. Has anyone measured the dimensions turbo yet? I'm wondering if 350 hp on gasoline is beyond expectation except for all but the most optimal conditions.

I am sure dissection has recently happened or about to happen. There are several that probably already know like Cobb, Mountune and Hennessey but in efforts to deliver the first upgrades are keeping quiet in the development stages.
Meet a faster version of the Ford Focus RS. Possibly. These mysterious spy shots emerge from the Nürburgring, and they appear to show the not-slow, not-unfocused RS gaining more speed and sharpness. Oh yes.
Whether it’s the work of an aftermarket tuner or Ford itself is unclear. But wind back six years and you’ll find the previous Focus RS spawned an utterly fantastic (and utterly ballistic) RS500 variant, a matt black ball of fury that remains one of the most visceral hot hatchbacks of all time.
The black, vented bonnet and more serious rear wing of this test mule have us salivating. Its tyres, meanwhile, look to be lower profile than standard. They’re certainly being given a good workout around the Nordschleife.
The nature of turbocharged engines means winding some extra power from the RS’s 345bhp 2.3-litre four-cylinder shouldn’t be too much of an issue. But quite what else Ford could do to, um, focus the RS further remains a mystery.
Would it strip out seats like Renault does with the Megane Trophy-R? Or stick in a paddleshift transmission to help it take on the VW Golf R or Mercedes A45 AMG? The old Focus RS500 stuck to its base model’s guns, keeping things (relatively) luxurious inside and its drivetrain simple. But the hot hatch market has moved on considerably in the time that’s passed since.
So with nothing in the way of official information, it’s over to you. What would you like to lie beneath the skin of this pumped-up Focus RS?
could someone smarter than me please explain what could possibly be the point of blocking off 1/4 of the intercooler. Because my brain does not compute
