Focus RS
am I the only one that is annoyed by this guy (engineering explained)? he has a lot of vids with interesting topics. But every vid I've seen he tends to get super nerdy (which is fine) with one aspect while always leaving 2-3 gaping holes, usually relatively common sense ones (the wheel spacer one really got under my skin).
he also turns the wheel from the inside (see vid below at 3:25). in my book you need your car guy (or girl) card revoked if you turn like this on the street, you need to get kicked in the ***** (or ovaries) if you turn like this on the track

I think we would all be surprised on how much $$$ he makes from YT
How much he makes us easy enough to look up on socialblade.com, it doesn't take outside sponsors into account though if he has any. Also not saying he should stop or anything, just think he should be better research on some subjects
What annoys me about this guy is that he keeps swapping cars, which is fine, but then we apparently need to learn from him that his last car was crap and this one is just wonderful. We all make up this stuff in an effort to explain our actions to ourselves but I'm not interested in hearing somebody else's self analysis. My own is stupid enough.

I had same issues with ford when trying to buy wife a focus ST a few years ago. Went in and knew we were cool with X-plan pricing. Test drove car and wanted to work out deal specifics and guy was like no we cant go any lower than MSRP but they graciously took off the ADM (On a regular ol focus ST?!). Then the salesman tried to ask my wife about her budgeting and told her "the actual monthly payment would be easily made up just by skipping a couple lattes a month".
What?! You stupid mother effer, we both have masters degrees, make over 200k/yr, 800+ credit... WE ARE SMARTER THAN YOU... Eat a ****.
We went to Subaru and got treated with nothing but respect throughout the process (CARR Subaru in Oregon). So far ford has been the worst experience with some old dude who's clueless trying to make sales and Audi has been the best. Subaru and VW were a close second for me.

anyway, he pulls this "monthly payment" **** all the time cause it usually works... the 10-15 sales it gets is worth the one customer like you that will walk out on them.
I learned a long time ago that you can't take anything car sales men say or do, all they care about is making the sale. just walk in with the mind set that their goal is to rip you off (cause it is) and it makes dealing with them much easier. 9 times out of 10, whether I buy the car or not, I walk away with the sales guy with rage peaking through their smile cause their BS didn't work on me. Every once in a while I get a normal/smart guy that realizes he's not gonna play me and he stops trying to BS me.
This doesn't hold true for smart luxury car dealers though cause most people that buy expensive cars (70k+) are good for repeat business 2-3 years down the road. chances of repeat business from someone buying a 20-25k car is slim to none...
When I bought my Evo, I told then what I was willing to pay. They tried showing me how payments @ their price would only be a few $s more. I told them I don't care because I'd be paying more than I feel it's worth.
I ended up walking out, getting a phone call two days later, and buying at my price. Not "needing" the car sure makes all the difference LOL
