Talking about the rear arms, the same ones that are steel on the Evo 10 that everybody cried about as well.
I'm amazed anybody is even talking about this car on here since it's "totally not motorsports bro" FWD since everybody even threw tantrums about the FoRS being FWD-biased.
No crying about the rear calipers not being brembos?
Maybe because it has flares and a big red R?

The RS and the Type R ...... i ned a bigger turbo lololol
engine is done now i just need a proper set up for it
moparfan, the CTR apparently centered the front wheels over the steering axis, which is separate from the stroke axis (video at 7:59). If you add a wider wheel, then this is no longer the case. So what happens re: torque steer?
P.S. It is well established that Revoknuckles did not eliminate torque steer in the MkII Focus RS.

What I get from either the Honda or Ford is that you have to keep the offset. You can of course change it, but then it isn't centered anymore. People might be sensitive to that change or not. While I am happy to hear no torque steer, I'll wait until it gets into the publics hands. It may be that a combination of eps and torque management, in concert with the physical solution, "solves" the problem.

so either , Honda lies about they number or that is a usual customer friendly dyno with high reading numbers.
doesnt really matter though, track is the real deal . And that NR numbers so far more interesting then any dyno or magazine numbers

It would appear that Honda is not being honest about the number. There are numerous reports across the USA stating that the new CTR is making 295-303WHP on dynos.

****, the people who complained about the RS are even saying they'd buy the Honda...
probably most of these people are just giving it a pass because its honda and they came from that world. I think Ford deserves some credit for doing this platform at all in the U.S., its not like any other domestic brands are.
You really think evom members are going to give any automaker a pass? Either a car lives up to what the automaker says or it doesn't.
In my eyes, the Focus RS fell short of its marketing. While so far it is looking like the CTR will meet, or exceed, expectations. Time will tell.

Imo early reviews are always to be taken with a grain of salt. Automotive journalists do not seem to hold themselves to a true 'fair and unbiased' journalistic standard. Plus automakers cherry pick who they let have early access to the car, all but ensuring a favorable review.
I will reserve judgement on the CTR until Vorshlag or Randy Pobst does a proper review. But I will say that the info we do have, like curb weight and lack of torque steer, does sound promising.
