Civic Type R
Yeah I don't see the problem. Car commercials would be real ****ing boring if they were grounded 100% in reality.
Ford didn't lie in the first paragraph. The second is no different than the Evo MRs that went into limp mode when pushed.

Sigh, have you even read the Vorshlag review?
"Obviously if you watched my in-car video above you heard me complaining about understeer. Massive amounts of steady state understeer was all this car could produce. I suspect that the "RDU" system shut down almost immediately and I was essentially driving a Front Wheel Drive car for all 16 laps." http://www.vorshlag.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8453

Can't say I care, dude. You're picking and choosing which reviews are "trustworthy" based on your own prejudices about the car. God knows you **** on it before a single review was out. You continued to **** on it as good reviews came. **** on as owners talked about the car. And now you want to **** on it because Vorshlag had a bad day with it.
An RS owner and I hot lapped one at an autox event. The same owner flogged it for six, 20min HPDE sessions.
we never had the car so much as hiccup.
To be fair, Ford did do a reflash a few mos ago. Maybe they fixed something.
So far, it has performed as advertised. Results may vary.

Here I will tie it all together...
The 2017 CTR laps the Nürburgring in 7 minutes, 43.8 seconds. That is over 22 seconds faster than the 2016 Ford Focus RS time of 8:06.00.
And the RS was being driven by Christian Gebhardt, who was the 2016 24h Nürburgring Nordschleife, Class SP-X winner.
I wonder how much of that 8:06.00 was with the rdu shut off

they took a page out of Ford's playbook
but on a serious note now that I'm thinking about it, beside Ford and now the CTR, are there any other cars that come with Brembo's on the front and cheap sliding calipers on the rear? The closest I can think of is Lexus having fixed calipers (not Brembo) on the front and sliders on the rear.

Ah yes, because the average consumer cares about 22 seconds over an 8 minute lap time when they're getting groceries, or driving in snow, or driving their kids to school, or driving to work. I know that's what I care most about when I purchase a daily driver car; lap times.

avarege customer doesn't buy Ford RS neither CTR.
i kind of remember about you def, talking seconds on track between cars very strongly lol what happenned?
22 sec is a major difference by any means.

How about the steel rear suspension arms on the Type R?
What about the electric e-brake?
what about the 0-60 time?
What about it weighing approx 200 lbs more than the Civic SI? Or 100 lbs plus more than a GTI?
Literally the only thing people have whaaammmbulanced about are the looks of it.
Serious cognitive dissonance going on...
