Impressed with the New CTR, can't wait until tuners get a hold of them. I saw sheepy post their aiming for ~600hp on the stock bottom end, hell of a goal, who knows if they'll even get close but I'm interested in following along.

Not that I'd buy one to try and make 600hp with but 400-450 with similar tq and little to no torque steer would make a fun driver. I've always owned RWD AWD and FWD sporty cars.

Integra GSR handled wonderfully, as did my Saturn (Opel) Astra (Factory LSD) and my current Veloster Turbo after about 400 in mods to plant the *** and tighten it up, but they all drove beautifuly through my favorite country back roads. IMO a good set of tires makes all the difference.

RWD cars here (with any bit of power anyway) are quite a nuisance. Now if I lived in AZ, SOCAL, FLA, ETC... then a 500+hp RWD V8 would be great. Ours is just a garage ornament hahahaha

Where do you live?

RWD is manageable here (Canada) but you got to tip toe during the winter.

Take it easy dude. I was pointing out turbo Hondas can make torque.

PA, Hilly back road central, Same here. When I was in my late teens with a "cool" 5.0 Rustang as my only car, snow tires and sandbags got me around. Wasn't always a ton of "fun", but it certainly teaches you to become a better driver.

Maybe. What they need to do is put the WRX motor, with more power, in the STI.

The Civic sounds like a great car. Too bad it's ugly as sin.

That is pretty much what they did for the S207. Lets hope they put some version of that 2.0 engine into the next STI.

That would be Interesting. I can't imagine Subaru likes being one-upped by a civic LOL

Seeing as how they didn't mind being one upped by Mitsubishi for 20yrs, I don't think they care. As long the hipsters/vapers keep buying WRX anyways...lol

Subaru sales are solid, for the size of the company. I don't think they care, but I hope they do care because it'll mean a better STI.

Has a lot of observations vis-a-vis other cars which might be of interest.

MSRP coming soon...

Well, to more people with the increased production.

“But the American market has really driven up demand because it’s not been available over there before. We’re looking at producing about 13,000 units between now and March 31, and we’re exporting about 6,000 of those to the States.”

Impressive, they definitely set the bar pretty high. Just imagine how good the S2000 replacement is going to be. If/when it arrives. http://blog.caranddriver.com/more-de...s2000-revival/

I've never felt torque steer driving my Evo - never felt it driving my DSM. So, Honda has almost solved that problem. Good for them.

Ive felt torque steer and rear wheel spin in my Evo. My DSM was notorious for torque steer but then again, it was a FWD TSi.

Id really like to see one of these Type R in person. I absolutely love the front end of this car.
