from a different perspective a cheaper interior makes it a little more "everyday" supercar. I could take my dog to the park and not have a stroke if he scratches one of the panels.

first of all, nice short bro!

secondly... they have the ***** to put a 30k mark up on it and that doesn't even include the $999.50 "dealer fee"

A friend of mine took that pic in SF yeah... they are really trying to burn the buyer. I double checked on local Supras and they are "only" a $20k mark up here.

I'm tempted to start going into dealerships with big markups on saturdays and just waste half their day stringing them along... then just walk out

Evasive took theirs out to buttonwillow and managed a sub 2 minute lap. Not bad for straight out of the box performance

I am impressed, though the cheaper CTR is almost as fast and a "same price" C8 should be much faster.

Supra is more versatile than the Type R tho. The Type R really only does one thing, but does it exceptionally well. The Supra is fast in straights and good around corners. You could also use it for drifting if that's your thing. Chevy really did hit a homerun with the C8. I hear alot of ppl saying they took back their deposit for the Supra to put it toward a C8.

I think the point is that a tricked out fwd econobox puts up the same laptimes as a ground up sports car... oh and you can get a clutch with the tricked out econobox... then there's also the half the cost factor...

One thing I noticed in the Buttonwillow vid was the car exhibited a lot of roll. I think I'd want upgraded sway bars even for the street if I owned one. Japanese chassis tuning?
