The same can be said regarding your small turbocharger/low power choices.
I'm road course guy, but high power straight line shenanigans are fun. Going to a shift sector event in an 800whp+ evo was just as much fun as a lapping day, and doing track support for clients at drag races is just as much fun as doing it at a road course. Racing is racing.

maybe its just the northwest, but the drag racing experience around here sucks
but actual drag racing, when I actually get to drive down the strip... I enjoy, dealing with most of the stuff around it makes it not worth the trouble

the only 1/2 mile event I've been to was even worse that drag days. They lined you up with whoever you wanted, but there were way to many cars... so got even less seat time than the average drag day.

yeah I figured the one I went to wasn't the norm, it was run by some local group that I haven't heard from since that event happened. that being said, 1-2 passes an hour isn't all that great either when you compare it to a track day which is at minimum 20 mins of track time per hour. don't get me wrong, drag racing and 1/2 mile is fun, just that the way events are ran seat time is usually limited.

It's not always about seat time. The event as a whole is just fun. Meeting people, talking about their builds, your build, etc..

I will say that watching Top Fuel drag racing is fun for a bit. Similar to a NASCAR race I attended: not really my thing.. but hard to deny how cool it is to FEEL the cars in your chest. Pretty bad *** and I'd watch another NASCAR race, if I had the chance.
