That's funny because that is how I'm pitching it to my wife. I get a daily driver, then a weekend/date night car for us. I think it's the us part that she is liking. I just don't know how I will feel if she asks to drive it.
It's A/T. Easy peasy. Now, my Evo would be a different story...

I wouldn't date a chick that tried to tell me how to spend my play money.

I am def testing the limits with my wife now with four cars, it was a close call with me trying to explain why we need the two cars I barely drive in the garage at all times, and the two cars we drive the most sit outside in the cold.
I told her I keep my garage webcam open on my desktop at all times just to make sure they are okay and she just rolled her eyes. hahahah

My garage has one car that drove a total of 500mi this year, with 200 of that being to/from a race track. The other car did 3,000 miles over the past 12mos. I do have one that sits outside that has only done 1,500mi; 1,200of that being towing to/from track, the other 300 was the drive home after purchase. Another in the driveway only did about 200mi last year because the only time it gets driven is when my mom uses it... the last is my daily which also sits out in the cold and heat, getting beat on by the elements, which doesn't make sense to me, but I'm NOT moving either car from the garage LOL. Though I am in talks with a friend to rent shop space to store our "race" cars. That would be a huge help.
*If* I go forward with the Supra deal, then it and my daily get the garage and I can sell the truck/trailer and cut WAY down on registration fees and insurance.

Yeah you're lucky, thats pretty tolerant, lol. Not sure my wife would be so cool with that.....although next time she brings it up maybe just say "hey we should gotten the house with the bigger garage!" (duck)

At least you get some use out of your cars. I put 800 miles on my Evo in the past year. 2 of my other cars maybe 1 mile of just moving in and out of the driveway. The Supra has a little over 5000 miles and its been 9 month. I racked up the miles on my DD this year. Around 13,000. But, I think I have everyone beat with the car that sits the most! My Bug has seen a hair over 500 miles in 8 years and thats not cause it hasnt been driveable. I just dont drive it.
I’m also guilty of having 3 cars in the garage that barely get driven and 2 outside that get driven often. I’m actually down a car right now as well after selling my RS3 this summer. Been tough shopping for a replacement in this market. I had ruled out the Supra because of the automatic, but my resolve not to at least test drive one is weakening with this thread. I’ve regretted every automatic sporty car I’ve purchased, including a 987.2 Cayman S and the RS3, when I convinced myself that a dual clutch would be fun in its own way. It’s never worked out well for me.

If you don’t like the RS3 dsg, you probably won’t like the Supra ZF. I’m assuming you regret because of less engagement. If so, no matter how good the auto is, you will probably not be into it.
I'll probably get the Zupra as a 'daily' if it becomes available and I dont need to go thru the dealership processes. I don't want a new/baby'd car ever again tho
Eh just put in the stock headlight and unbolt the wing for DD. It looks pretty good for street use with those changes.

Here is another example of a well-setup Supra on STOCK POWER. It does 1:53.8 at Thunderhill which is a smoking fast time, on par with well-setup Porsche GT3's. The supra seems to benefit greatly from aero, which is kind of a bummer for me as it's not really something I want to do.
