I'm not a fan of yellow cars, but does the Supra look as striking in person as it does the pictures? Or is it just clever editing?

 

Yellow Supras or just Supras? I'm not a fan of yellow cars either but the Supra wears it well.

Personally, I think the Supra looks 1,000x better in person than in photos. It's WAYYYY smaller in person than any photo suggests.

 

Yes, I mentioned yellow Supras. I saw a for sale ad with a yellow Supra. It looked really good. Coming from someone who basically despises yellow cars lol I like the Supra in person. It really is this is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures. Seems to barely be bigger than a miata lol

Agreed on yellow. I would never buy a yellow one personally though.

Here is a good example of a very cleanly modified yellow supra. Looks great.

 

One of my Supra buddies has a yellow one. He was over at my house a couple weeks ago and I got to see it in person. It honestly wasnt bad. Reminded me of the spa yellow AP1 I had.

The Supra is small but its still long. Just a tad shorter than my Evo. Its the overall height that really makes it feel/look small.

 

Yea, it's 4 inches shorter than my Evo 10, 6 inches shorter than a Evo 9.

The height is lower than a BRZ by a inch and like I stated before, the Supra has a shorter wheelbase than the BRZ by 4 inches! I also think what makes the Supra look really small is that most of the visual mass is towards the back and the hood is super long. Def a huge hood. Reminds me a lot of the M Coupe clown shoe.

 

I have actually been looking for a M Coupe..... Rare and extra expensive these days. I really like them!

 

Yea, I have always loved them. So quirky and weird. I also love the Z4 M coupe hardtop from years ago. There is a lot of visual similarities to the new Supra actually, even has the same duck bill integrated into the trunk lid:

 

Okay. I really am liking that yellow. I'm also kinda shopping a yellow f430 (don't judge). WTF is happening to me? Does the Supra yellow have any pearl or metallic flakes? That would look great with all the curves. One of my cars is 49" tall and I love it because I'm short lol. How tall is the Supra?

 

This thread moves supra fast ( ) did we decide a 2021 is better for anyone not looking to tune the car? And base is better than premium for those of us that don't need fancy extras?

 

I saw a youtube video where they dynoed 2020 and 2021 stock and the 2021 was a bit more power up top.

Base seats have alcantara inserts as opposed to all leather.

 

If you don't care about tuning, 2021+. However, you can now tune 2021+, you just need to pay $3600 and send your ECU to Russia.

Base is up to you. Same performance, you just get more tech in premium, and red painted calipers. In my opinion, the base seat materials are better if you like not sliding around in the seat. Also, 2020 base had smaller rear rotors for some odd reason.

In other news, looks like Ohlins are backordered until mid January, which is fine by me because real winter. I did get all my other parts so I just have a pile of things waiting to go on the car.

 

That's right. We were saying how impossible it is to find a base model. So, I'll start searching for '21 base models, with '21 Premium as a back up. I actually may be sold on the yellow. Maybe that will help.. I'm hoping it's a less-desirable color LOL.
I may be forced to trade a car in since all my buyers keep not finding funding or flaking. Not even sure anyone would take it. Then I gotta sell the Evo. Time to get on it.

 

Love F430's. Not sure if the yellow is metallic or not.

Supra is 51" high. Miata is 49"

 

Wait until mid next year when the prices will come down. Hopefully a good amount but I'm still thinking not much if any. That's my plan anyway along with a daily driver.
