At the time it was said to be the most powerful production three-banger in the world, but Toyota's Gazoo Racing has significantly upped the ante to an even 300 hp and 273 pound-feet for the just-announced Toyota GR Corolla "

Surprised no one has said this yet (or maybe I missed it) but I feel like this may satisfy some of those WRX/STI folks begging for the hatch version to return.

Tried to put a deposit down on one today..... my sales guy pretty much said don't bother. Even though actual pre orders don't exist, the line to get on the pre orders does. He said there are already a couple hundred people per dealer signed up so don't expect to get one (without a crazy markup) for a long time. Back to the 86 for now it is. He said those can be had in a couple months.

Has anyone sat inside a regular corolla hatch? I know the GR Corolla interior will remain mostly(minus the new front seats and material) unchanged from the normal Corolla.

I befriended a fellow track guy / instructor at the last couple track events I went to out here. He has a new Toyota 86 with just suspension, wheels/tires and brembo brakes from the last gen and that little thing is fast on track. I'm honestly kind of thinking I should have done the 86 instead of the Supra now. lol

The new 86 looks great too. Much prefer it over the new Subaru BRZ. Updated interior is way better too!

Thats good to hear. Pretty much all I would do is suspension and wheels and tires.

Get rid of that Evo and get a 86 to put in its place.

Pretty much just a sub $30k good track car. By no means fast but everyone says they are a very driver friendly car. It would be my big track car as I would rather stuff that into a wall rather than my Supra.

We shall see how the supply chain issues go. Probably will push back US deliveries.

Germany. It's the guy that runs the Apex Taxi company at the Nurburgring.

You might be more familiar with the other guy there, Misha:
