You are wrong because just looking at the center cartridge design in Chris@NLM photo, its clear to see the cooling fins on the center cartridge which designed to dissipate heat from the ceramic BB cartridge because it is air/oil cooled and there are no provisions for water lines.

Thank you for your post Chris as it is directly relevant to the details contained in this thread. It helps answer 4ukc's inquiry as to "where is the paint mark?". It seems there is not a paint mark on all PTE ceramic BB turbos based on you showing the new one in box in your inventory.

This photo also confirms what I was saying about the turbo needing to be primed with oil before starting the car. Its primed at the manufacturer at PTE and then they cap them like is pictured so that it stays primed until installation.

4ukc did not prime the turbo with oil before running the car a few times on a "new engine break in". He dry started it with no lubrication.

Thanks for sharing.

plz dont make any conclusions before I will receive report from PT, I am the same sure as you are about oil priming, that it was bad from the very beginning

and on turbo you sent was a yellow mark but it was removed the only part left on the hotside and nothing on restrictor so plz dont be so sure just tell me where is it asking you 10th time

and I believe Cris shows 2013 turbo and 6765 is already for almost 2 years discontinued I think you know about it also

Just want to point out, if you had a JB turbo, there would be a water cooling provision. Additionally, you keep asking him to answer you about the "Yellow mark"

Used turbo's burn this mark off. It's paint... Even enamel would come off at that temperature.

Looks like you and your tuner got off cheap. Make sure to get some fresh oil primed through it this time.

Good Luck

but as you understand oil was NEW that time, and it was primed and noise was from the very begging so I believe the "litter" is not mine

if you were more attentive you can find post of the tuner:

"Oil press appear after several seconds after start and we always fill oil system turning oil pump sprocket without timing belt."

and as PT said it HAS NOTHING ABOUT PRIMING

2 blowngasket

yes evrth was cleaned and all parts needed to be changed was changed, oil cooler has nothing about it (but it was changed) because thermostat opens at 80C and turbo had bad noise from the very start of the engine

I think you need to focus on the Turbo being good, and the fact that it’s only going to cost 125 bucks to have it back to normal. I don't think it’s fair to the seller to go after him for something that looks to be out of his control, after all, it didn't get installed for months after you received it.

Count your lucky stars its still usable.

so I got a final answer from PT that it is 6265 turbo, first they were referencing on my return form where I listed it as 6765 because I bought it as 6765 from Anarchy99

and now I want to ask who is the bad guy? and what your going to say now Anarchy99 after it appeared that you cheated me selling 6265 instead of 6765?

Well in that case if he sold you a lesser turbo i would say you need a refund plus the money you paid pte to inspect the turbo if you can prove it is the same unit you received from him.
