HAHAHAHA......man I definately have to show up now just cause you are dam funny! Do you have a current flier I can slap on cars where I work? There is a BMW with Lateapex.com vinyl on it and an RX8. I also work right down the street from IIP (Indy Import Performance).....there are imports there all the time.

 

I'm sure this show is going to be huge!!!!!!!! I say we just mention it to a couple people, and let it go at that. I dont know of the chatter on the other oodles of web-pages this is on, and whom on them plan to attend. I can alrealy forsee that the field will be full as far as the competition goes. and there will be lots of show cars also. Modernspeed labs is bringing a huge trailer of parts, if people want to upgrade intakes etc... no word yet on the portable dyno machine, 40 foot banners are going up at the airport on tuesday, Indy drivers fly into that airport on a regular basis in the month of may, maybe a few of them will stick around to watch, maybe Danika Patrick can take me for a couple laps in my car! That would leave me on the ground in the fetal position sucking my thumb calling for my mommy!
no wait, Thats when my wife yells at me and tells me to go to my room!

 

Ok, i met up with some people downtown with modded eclipse and civic, and they said that they would most likely come to the show.

here are some more random thoughts:
will be at the airport looking at lay-out on Tuesday, to decide best way to do this. I am thinking 1 import vs 1 domestic drag-race and split off and complete mirror-images of the same track. Each car will be individually timed, and the classes and cars will be compeeting against each other in the same group(not compeeting against the other car on the track) Ie; lowest import time wins, and lowest Domestic car wins.... the classes are probably: Import non-turbo/ import turbo/AWD/ and domestics strait-up. There will also be an unlimited classe for both groups.

tentative time-line. this depends on the racing entries at the "door". the ones who PM me their info are GUARENTEED SPOTS.

9:00 gates open
9:00-11:00 tech inspection of cars
11:00 non-turbo cars line-up to race and gitrdun
the rest depends on people racing.
non turbo imports first
turbo imports next
AWD Turbos
Unlimited class.

we may have to do the race first, then when there done, get the cars directly to the runway to do the 0-100-0 simultaneously, as the other cars are compleeting the "road-course" There will be 2 chances at the 0-100-0 MPH to make up for bad launch, warming up the clutches/ tires etc... its the drivers choice. the car show will be happening the whole time the racing is going on, you can eat your food, which I'm sure will taste like race-fuel and rubber! the trophies for the car show will be at the same time the "winged warrior" is crowned. I am guessing at 5ish? I think it would be neat if everyone had a t-shirt with their SCREENNANE on it, so we can identify who were talking to. Im giving my crew of 30 people bright flourescent green shirts that say EVENT STAFF on the back, and My shirt will say SMOKEDMUSTANG so you know who I am.

 

Let me know if you need any help, smokedmustang. Right now I'm looking at driving out the night before (not 100% sure, but pretty positive), staying at a hotel, then going from there. If you need, I could show up before 9 to help you out with any setup or whatnot.

Hey Camaro, what part of the auto does 360 degree auto design design? If its that tint place on 82nd and I-69 tell them to pack mud! I Invited them last year and they showed me the door! They acted as if the were "UBER than thou", had an attitude!
maybe they thought I was a panhandler or something. If they can hook me up with some "spinners" on my car that would be cool! N O T! I saw a kid at the gas station today, and before he got in the car, he wound his spinners up one by one, I thought to myself "how GAY is that?" it was like Amelia Earhart starting the props on her plane in a jungle landing strip or something! someone please tell me the point of having a car "look" like its moving when its not. Its like wiping your Butt BEFORE you "pinch a loaf," IT SERVES NO PURPOSE!

 

No they are located on 10th and Lynhurst in speedway, they brought real nice cars to carquest world of wheels.

 

We handed out flyers downtown last nite. We got a Viper with 2 Nitrous tanks in back. We got a STi, an SRT 4. Just saw some nice cars and handed out flyers.

 

Thanks Accolade, and welcome back! unless they pm me with mods, they have to take a chance the field is not full on "race-day". still dont have a limit set. we will be getting together for our first meeting next saturday possibly to go over the details on how were going to run the event. I ordered 30 flourscent green shirts for us which EVENT STAFF on the back. we need walkie talkies to find each other in the crowd. will call you next week.
