I had two kids and built a house so my racing has ceased (4 years now). I just need to stop doing **** to my car and race it finally.

I've been out of it so long I'm going to have to relearn the car and get seat time and get my comfort back. Plan is to run the first season on my previous CBRD BBK-BBB with the new engine and aero. Hopefully ~500-550 on a MD. Then step it up to a Borg Warner 9174 at around 650-700ish on a MD. Then work up from there and see where we can get with keeping the engine and headgasket reliable.

The head gasket will always be reliable as long as your tuner and cooling system are worth their salt.

English racing for example. Making over 1400whp in Jeff Bushes DSM. They don't lose the HG when it misfires....it shoves the crank out the bottom of the block.

are you able to disclose any downforce and drag numbers from andrew? im curious what the overall efficiency is and how much power the aero will actually consume.

i added bumper shutters (made by angryaero) and built a diffuser to go with my kognition wing and 5 inch front splitter. its looking like im bringing a knife to a gunfight for gridlife, so i figured id do as much as i could since im only running about 380whp.

diffuser was a pain in the *** to build, mainly because its slow work haveing to continually install and remove to get things fitting just right. ill post oics of it on the car if i survive this stupid blizzard thats about to hit. it extends 5 inches out from the rear bumper and has an exit gurney to try and make some of the air that gets above it useful.

I like it alot. Any plans to install some kind of vent for brake ducting or how are you doing that?

ive run brake ducting for the past few years since i was running longer sessions, but dont feel the need for it at the moment with being strictly time attack now. plus the first few events of the year i usually have to block it off anyway because the brakes arent getting up to temp. i still have the binary nozzles on the car...may fab up a little piece to direct a little air into them.

im aslo gonna close off the central vents on the nose of the bumper with some color matched vinyl i have. i just have to do it once the splitter is back on since the front supports for it come out through those openings.

well im talking ambient temps under 50 degrees. i have had no trouble in 20 minute sessions with my ducts taped off in those temps. in 5 years ive had exactly one long brake pedal (70-80 ambient temp, high humidity, short course with lots of heavy braking, and being chased by a vette lol).

i run dtc60's, ATE type200/superblue, and racing brake stainless pistons. dont expect any issues on street tires for 5 laps or less at a time.
