Me too (well, Novice is a Pax'ed class lol): http://www.autocross.com/er/equipera...ex.php?id=54#n
if i wanted one of those, i'd talk to cdeutsch first. everything i've heard about the 6-speed leads me to believe that it can't handle heavy track duty. feel free to put me in my place if what i've been reading is off-base!
I beat a Subaru Forester by about a 1/2 a second..
I was pushing my car to the limits of acceleration in the straights -- and trying to carry as much speed as possible through the turns -- and I lose by over 2 seconds (my 40 seconds to their 38 seconds).
Either I really need some major driving lessons or my car needs a lot of help. Maybe both. I feel like I'm getting better all the time... but so are they..
Could my stock suspension be costing me that much time? I blame body roll for at least.... most of it
See attachments.

See attachments.Driving lessons first. Good tires second. Then get some negative camber. Then coilivers.

He's on his way out to Heartland now for the Pro Solo finale so you could catch up with him out there. He'll be around for the Solo Nats too, obviously.
Just wanted to introduce myself here since this thread is the most of the reason I've been visiting this forum so far.
I've been autocrossing for a few years now in a SM 240SX, which I recently sold to get into something more competitive and take the sport a little more seriously - "serious" being used loosely, especially when it comes to racing in parking lots.
Anyway, I don't really care for a lot of the Stock classes, and wanted something that I could have fun with in other places besides an auto-x course (daily driving, track days, etc). I've always been a huge fan of the Evo, and it met all the criteria I had in mind, so I found a bone stock '06 SE with 3000 miles on it, fell in love with it, and picked it up on sight (which was about a week ago). I already have the first shakedown event this Sunday.
I'll be working on the car over the winter and getting it ready(ish) for next season, since I plan to attend Peru and Toledo at the least, maybe the DC Pro, too. So maybe I'll get to meet some of you guys out there and get a proper *** kicking.
