2012 STU Discussion
anybody looking to get out of their STU IX? i'll be @ nats, and looking to pick one up. otherwise, probably see ya'll in class next season with a freshly built specimen! unless i can claw doug's/brent's away (out of their cold, dead hands, lol).
Looks like it was a GREAT Toledo Pro this year... sry I missed it now, but last time I ran against Laughlin, I was about a second off a 60sec course as well... Seeing Corey about there doesn't make me cry to badly... Course seemed cone-intensive... slaloms n fast offsets out & back. Congrats to John, Corey, and the other John.
I'm off Wednesday for th Peru National Tour... Where I will be hunting down Sean Grubb and a few fast STi drivers it appears.

Glad to see that you got the car up and running again. At event repairs are the worst. Awesome that the STU folks here offered to help.
AND.. it's a good reminder to those of us with aftermarket struts / shocks to check those brake lines! I keep them from rubbing the wheels with a collection of zipties.

Having a prepped car is dangerous... I had no intention of going to nationals this year but now I'm having second thoughts. I had a great time meeting John and Corey at Toledo along with Austin and Andrew in the STI and it was a ton of fun!

Why are there only 5 of 17 entries evos right now?

Evo - 5
M3 - 2
Sti - 10
I'd lecture everyone on this thread to sign up.. but then I'd be a hypocrite.

I'll be at Nats. I'm trying to get a credit from Blytheville transferred over.
I was previously scared to do the Finale - clutch failure before Nats would suck - but after Toledo I am thinking I'd rather chance it and get 12 more runs on the surface.

Come on now. It's not like any of us ACTUALLY believed him to begin with.
Brian and John (I'm assuming), you both need to come to Nationals. Seriously, you'll wonder why you never made the trip before. And it's not like it's a long drive from Ohio. Lazy punks.

That being said, I am currently enjoying my stay in the strange land of RWD and pancake engines.

Famous last words.
